Alina Zagitova

Ted during the Junior Ladies Free Skate just said that Alina injured herself just right before the Free Skate. She tripped on a cable :/

Guys...Ted just said that Alina was injured. She tripped because of a wire or something and injured her foot, but still wanted to compete. I am crying right now. This girl is too good for this world [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

Oh my goodness Ted just said that Alina tripped on a TV cable and injured her foot and almost WD
I'm even more proud of her now

WHAT?? I didn‘t hear that?? Omg, poor girl. And she still WON silver. What an athlete!

Do we know how serious it is???

Yaaas! That‘s a great crown!

Every podium skater should get a crown! Who‘s with me? We could suggest that to GP France, they always have a thing for “unusual“ medals.

I'm with you!!!

We need to get Garret of the giant plush toys onto this task.....

She had to have the foot "frozen" before apparently
I'm in awe of how well Alina skated today despite it. Rest up darling!

P.S. - And Alina just earned US$ 18,000.00 more for her 2nd place in GPF.
Our girl is an independent woman and a money maker uhuuuu :yahoo:

Oh god....please no....I don't want to imagine her with an injury....

Medal ceremony starts at 17:20 Vancouver time...I was going to watch it like a hawk before now I'm going to watch it like a hawk with binoculars.

I am so proud of Alina! We really have a great reason to celebrate!

Yes, she popped the first combo from her program BUT did not melt down, and completed clean her entire program. (Including her 3Lz+3Lo signature combo). This shows that she grew a lot mentally speaking, and is still evolving.

Also, she was smiling at the end, and showed so much sportsmanship, showing hearts for Rika and everything. She won today, a silver medal and she won it gracefully.

These are my thoughts after this amazing GPF. In the end I just want to confess that first I made the mistake to read the comments from the competition forum (where I wasn't active because it's very hard to reason with people when you are Alina's fan) and I am very disappointed by the amount of bad words people throw at this amazing girl. So much pressure on her, from media, fans, all FS world, I just wish it would not be so hard for her. She's such a graceful and gentle person, I am amazed that she performs so great, skating with such pressure on her shoulders.

Sorry but I had to let this out [emoji24][emoji24]

Congratulations Alina, it was an amazing competition for you, and I am sure it is just the beginning of a great season [emoji173]

Second every single word! She continued her performance and did not let one unfortunate mistake affect it. Well done, Alina! sleep tight, safe in the knowledge that you are making your fans proud, such a classy girl you are.
(And I stayed away from the competition thread and Edge, my heart can't take it.)

I stay for one minute longer in competition thread than I should, and now I very angry ..
Anyway ,congrats to Alina with silver

Do like me....I completely left it this time around.

Still great to go to the first place and get links for stuff but I'm not going to reason with crazy talk.

Yup my mistake too. Good thing that now we can watch the juniors lady to distract us from that thread [emoji3]

This is terrible. for Alina's speedy and full recovery.

Jackie Wong quote from Alina right now:

"The 1st sr season is easier than the 2nd because there are no expectations and you can just go and skate. Now there are more expectations and I have to deal with my nerves and do what I can do."
