:laugh: ok good. It would throw me off my game completely. But then again, that is why I am not an elite athlete or performer ;)
Wishing Alina a beautiful, clean skate tomorrow! It will be too early for me to watch, but I hope to see her all smiles when I wake up and check the figure skating forums!

No, I know that. I just meant that throughout this season, she has skated her best when she wasn't skating against her top competitors. Of course the most important thing for Alina is a clean skate, but I think she will just be a lot more calm and confident at this competition.

I don't compete at such a high stage as Alina do, and It's in a different sport, but I can tell you it's hard at the begining, when you are not used to it. You can be super nervous, some people can make it advantge, some people screw it up. But after a while you used to it, and you only feel the energy. :) We knew Alina is able to skate well on the biggest stage, the atmosphere at PYC was electric. And Eteri know her skaters very well, she makes their program hard, with obstacles they have to overcome to be excellent, but if she knows Alina is easy to distract by clapping in the begining, they will give her different composition of the program.

Only 3h 45 min left guyyys!!!

They do mess, but if her both knees and ankles are on tapes then the tapes can be more distracting than the tights. I imagine that's the reason...

Oh no. I thought we'd left them behind last year. Her dress is so pretty and she has such beautiful lines... these over the boot tights just ruin that. Maybe, we'll get a miracle and they're gone for the actual competition. :slink:

Anyway, still best of luck to Alina. And if those tights somehow magically help her have a good skate and win, then I can accept them. :biggrin:
 
Personally, I just don't care). And I kind of like tights over boots.
The most important thing is skaters do what feel more comfortable for them. People always have a reason.
 
Hello again!
Today we had some trouble trying enter the arena to watch the ladies morning practices, bit some angry ladies manage to convince the guards to let us in.
As always, Alina was flawless today and looking right in point for today's SP, I've never seen such a beautiful 3F before and she wasn't coughing.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any flowers to buy in the arena.

Same here. I like tights over boots, for me it looks neat.
