Great interview.

For someone so young, she has a lot of wisdom.
And for someone of ANY AGE, she has a great deal of self-awareness.
It really is amazing.

They should put this quote on posters, mousepads and coffee cups, etc....
When it is hard and you overcome it, it is twice as pleasant - Alina Zagitova

That's why I leave competition thread everytime immediately after the competition. During the competition it is quite OK, but after the last program speculations start.

It's terrible in there! Lol. Worse than the edge. I'm calling Alina a GOAT now. I'm sure that will go over well. ;)

Bringing this over from FSO because I thought it was nice -

Our majesty. Zagitova was the best in history.

In just two rentals, the Olympic champion Zagitova at the age of 16 became the best figure skater in Russian history.

Of course, nobody has canceled taste preferences, but there is an objective reality that is stupid to ignore. Figure skating is a sport, and in any sport the result is in the first place.

We do not discuss the external data and the swimmers technique, but we unconditionally recognize as the best those who first touched the side.

Zagitova is now the best single woman who has ever performed under the flag of Russia. And there will be at least another three years. Before the Olympics in Beijing.

Already in the middle of an arbitrary program at the World Championships, it became clear that Zagitova would be the first. She could have fallen, under-tightened or made an oversight at the exit, but instead she skated without a single blot. So, as befits the Olympic champion.

Now there can be no debate about who is the best Russian figure skater in history.

I'm all for staying off social media(in fact I recommended it), but she's missing out on a few thousand new followers by not posting a new picture now.

If it wasn't for Team Zagitova we would be seriously deprived. I hope someday soon Alina is a little more forthcoming on IG with some content! Maybe we will get something from Gala or the banquet.

Maybe tomorrow once she’s actually had a chance to get some sleep. Zhenya hasn’t posted something yet either

Well deserved holidays in Okinawa.
I’m glad she didn’t give up and fight for a gold medal.
This saison was difficult but it was a good one, she medaled at each event except the national and you can’t win each time.
Now she’s a wold champion, she can relax and I hope next saison will be less stressful. You still can win even without quads or 3A.

That is totally going on my office wall right next to Yuzu's quote about effort never being in vain. We have such wise Olympic gold medalists this quad.

Lol, you, too? It's amazing what a 180 the competition threads do as soon as the last score comes out. If I tried to do a waltz jump that fast, I think I'd get whiplash.

Do you all remember there were voices about her "posting too much recently? Does she have even time for trainings?"

I guess in the last 2 months, while she was posting all those pics, somehow she managed to squeeze in a little training too.

Way to multi-task Alina!!!!
