Alina Zagitova

I don't understand why that video of Alina driving would be such a big deal, to get her into legal trouble or whatever... She's driving super slow, on an empty road, both hands on the wheel and all (she may not be wearing a seatbelt but still) and it's obvious that whoever is recording must be an adult.
Most people learn to drive before they reach the legal age, on parking lots and quiet roads like that anyway :rolleye:

Because it is probably illegal in Russia? I don't know Russian law but in Poland you are not allowed to drive unless you have a driver's licence and you can get one only if you're of age i.e. 18 y.o. And don't get me wrong - I am not bashing Alina at all, my dad was teaching me to drive when I was 15 as well, the only thing is I didn't record it and put it online :confused2: other thing is there was no instagram or facebook back then :P but anyway. It doesn't matter if she's driving super slow and under supervision if what she's doing is illegal. She just shouldn't post it online, her dad (who I think is there with her) should've know better :( they obviously know she is very famous and must be cautiaous with what she puts online, that's it.

Edit: it is not illegal IF she is on private terrain, not on a public road. So let's just hope that's the case :)

Finally..angel image destroyed.. Alina is a criminal and use bad language ( 3 years ago in Periscope)

I really disappointed and want to delete my account on GS :bed:

Back to ice hockey

You can't leave us, we want to see more of your... cats!

I don't understand all that hype about driving etc. Literally everybody in Russia learn to drive this way. Nobody cares if its legal or not. In this particular case any official who would dare to make anything about it will regret for the rest of his miserable life.

Yep - apparently what Alina did was the worst thing someone could do in Russia.
As concerned citizens are so gleefully showing up here to point out.

I feel like I have entered some kind of alternate universe.
It's utterly ridiculous.

Did she have her seatbelt on is the question?

The legalities of her being able to drive are secondary.

As for anyone thinking she could get into trouble for this I can't see it.

The other question is who took the video? Mama, Papa or baby sister?

This might be the last video of Alina driving before she gets her driver's license. ;)

I guess, Alina's mom was so proud of her daughter, that she really wanted to share it. Alina is not the first figure skater under 18 who is driving on the video, but no one of them was an olympic champion. I was learning to drive at 12, but still I think it was wrong to took the video. Too bad, they will learn it a hard way. :(

Next Alinka stories about driving should contain:

1) Picture of driving license for passenger
2) Passenger should be a driving instructor and we need picture of this permission
3) instructor should officially assure us that being in the car voluntarily and without physical pressure
4) We need a copy of the document that the technical condition of the car is normal
5) All neighboring dogs and cats are under the supervision of the owners and they are not at risk
6) All the neighbor's grandparents and childrens are notified that Alina is on the road and sitting at home
7) Before the beginning of the driving Alina reads the check list aloud (seatbelts fastened, the engine is started, the oil level is normal, the headlights are turned on, the instructor is ready, road in front of the car is free)
8) for hardcore followers- Police escort and ambulance is required

Drive safe

Not so fast! The day before yesterday, also known as the day before Alina began her life of crime, Alina got in touch with Team Zagitova and asked them post photos of three stray kittens that needed a home -

Don't your cats need some new friends?

How you can trust her right now ?

Maybe, at day time, she takes care about kittens.. but at night..
she delivers mobs on her car to rob gas stations ..

I am pretty sure, these kittens are hostages

I really felt sorry for that kid, but good grief that was a dumb thing to do after everything Russia has been through with the Olympics and the doping scandal.

I know Alina is held to a higher standard because she is ALINA but I am hopeful that people will see it as a mistake that any teenager could have made. And I am sure Alina will learn from it, and honestly, looking on the bright side, it may save her a lot of trouble in the future, because she will be much more careful.

I remember last summer during some skating show in Japan Alina was hanging out with Nathan, Mariah, and some other skaters and posted an IG story. What she didn't realize (because she doesn't speak English) is that Nathan and Mariah were talking about Raf talking about a skater being fat. That story got deleted quickly!

Learning has occurred.
Yours is the best post I've read on this topic. Thanks I needed that. But I did not know about the fat skater story. As of today Alina probably understands more English than we realize. More Japanese too. ;)

Ok then.
Trusova drives quad bike without licence -

Trusova crossing road on self-balancing scooter (violation) -

Tarakanova driving without licence and seatbelt -

Zagitova at Putin's election rally (violation because she is minor)

Does it look like anybody cares?

seatbelt safety is important!!

people are making a big deal out of nothing in this case since it's not like alina was on the highway or anything but people should always wear their seatbelts you never know what could happen

Due to recent events I feel oddly compelled to clarify the context of the conversation that took place in the video. Just so no one gets the wrong idea about that video - A group of skaters were on a hotel balcony or rooftop at night. Alina was filming the view of the city lit up at night and briefly showed the group of skaters. There was a conversation of about two sentences, describing Raf's opinion of another skater, happening in the background between three of the English speaking skaters. (Nate, Mariah and someone else.) They weren't talking to Alina. She wasn't a part of the conversation. It was not the focal point of the video. They weren't even sitting next to Alina. I didn't even notice it initially until it was overheard and pointed out by people online. (They don't miss a thing.) The video got deleted.

Why was Raf doing that? His fat skater comment was atrcious Some would accuse him of fat shaming. Coaches can be so mean.

Thank you for the clarification Finley.

Once upon a time Raf went to some kind of 'sensitivity training' to learn better ways of saying - "you cannot do this jump if you don't lose weight." He has talked about this in interviews.

Before that he had been known to say things like "How does one make an elephant fly?" :scratch3:

Since this is Alina's thread let's not digress to much about Raf. He is one of my favorite coaches and I adore him but he probably shouldn't try to write a self help book anytime soon. :roll5: As Fat Bastard said in the Austin Powers movie: "It's a long road ahead...."

So here's to Raf's continued personal growth as a more sensitive and enlightened coach  and let's get back to celebrating Alina and her three day vacation!

Raf makes Eteri look like an angel! :)

When is the training camp for Alina and her teammates?

And why is Team Zagitova a private account? Were people riding things that were inappropriate on their fan page?
