She looks more “buff” than usual, especially her legs, looks like she is purposely gaining weight to gain more muscles and after as you usually do - will lose some weight keeping muscles.
Doing it this early in offseason really makes me think she is preparing her legs for learning a quad...i know all female skaters gain some weight off-season and are “out of shape” compared to when they are competing...but she is jumping combos...loop combos 0_o
 
I finally watched phantom of the opera movie and ...Alina is even better actress than I thought she was. Look in her eyes, everything about her moves in a program, every emotion i saw in that movie and a lead actress. Also makeup was so spot on.

That's no secret. It's 1.5 hour in the morning and 1.5 hour in the afternoon. That's standard duration of the training on the ice in her team.

Alina keeps dancing even while decorating a cake :) Alina said that her cake represents Japan. Paws=Masaru. Pink flowers=Sakura. And there is Mount Fuji nearby (several of them, actually :)). She also said that her new room will be decorated in Japanese style.

I think so too. I'm seeing it more and more. At first I thought that IG page with all the Black Swan comparisons between the two put it in my head. But now I keep seeing the resemblance.

Needless to say Natalie has been one of my favourite actresses ever since I saw her play the character of Mathilda in Leon, the Professional. Both ladies showed incredible talent at a very young age... :)

I think anyone can see the resemblence between young Natalie and Alina in these photos. (Even the cute "cheek pouches" are there...) :biggrin:
