I think so too. I'm seeing it more and more. At first I thought that IG page with all the Black Swan comparisons between the two put it in my head. But now I keep seeing the resemblance.

Needless to say Natalie has been one of my favourite actresses ever since I saw her play the character of Mathilda in Leon, the Professional. Both ladies showed incredible talent at a very young age...

I think anyone can see the resemblence between young Natalie and Alina in these photos. (Even the cute "cheek pouches" are there...)

Idk what is happening in Japan but boy Alina doing 6x 2A? :eeking::luv17: (Evgenia attept 4S, Yuzu 4F, land 4lz again and did 4T3A what is in the air here? I guess their coaches must be 10 years older when they find out ). About Alina's gain some weith - I think she does as she is for a longer time off regular training (holidays, shows, ..). It's natural. Seems like she struggled with jumps a little bit at the beggining of FaoI but now she is jumping big loop combos, some of her jumps look higher than ever and is able to do six axels in a row. It really can pay of for her muscles to be able to land big jumps without any future health issues. :luv17: It can be her superpower because she seems to me have really good leg structure. Strong calves, thighs, very muscular, like powerfull gymnasts or sprinters have. Good body type for big jumps.

Guys the only thing Alina gained in Japan over the course of this month is having an amazing experience.

She improved her skating, her interpretation and skated to live music for the first time in her career.

She looks super happy and super pretty. That she managed to work on her jumps by herself is just the cherry on top.

Btw she always followed nutrition accounts (she has like a ton of accounts on healthy eating and tips on her follow list, along with another bunch on beauty tips). Picture angles and lighting completely change how a person looks.

Personally I’ve never seen her looking stronger, happier and full of energy.

And here she is in top shape greeting the fans outside their bus and signing autographs (there’s video too, flip through to see it).

She's just still growing and the body compensates during the off season. It's more apparent now because she isn't training as hard as during the season. Also, she is still one of the slimmest ladies. And her jumps doesn't seem to be affected by that neither.

Also, what is this about Alina gaining weight? She looks beautiful and healthy. Jumped loop combos as if it was nothing! She‘s fine. Will she go to Novogorsk now that Fantasy on Ice has ended? Or has she another show coming up too soon?

I remember this exact same story being told last year about Evgeny and Alina being the only two skaters who stopped for the waiting fans after an ice show in Korea. They took pictures and signed autographs in the rain. I think a few other skaters may have stopped briefly or waved and smiled on their way to the bus, and if I remember correctly, security was herding them away from the crowd. But Evgeny and Alina stayed there in the rain and didn't leave until everyone who was waiting got something. I'm glad some things stay the same.
