The blue is probably meant to convey lapis lazuli. From wikipedia -

The fact that Sasha only beat Alina by 6 points while she had 4 quads and Alina had 0 quads is insane. It shows just how superb Alina's peformance and skating skills are compared to everyone else :love::love::love:
 
Alina was truly anazing today! It's a real pleasure to watch her. I love the dress, somehow it makes her look even taller.

I think she can still get higher score by improving her step seq and spins plus maybe adding 3-3 combo in the second half?

I wish she could hold her ina Bauer longer. I know she can!

That is not allowed; according to Eteri's "Choreo 101 handbook for Alina's programmes by Daniil":
§6.1 No Alina Bauer should be longer than 0.5 sec to keep the audience on the anticipation diet till proper competition comes along, for additional shock value PCS points.

Just watched Alina's FS properly. Wow with that dress the FS is even better (Thank you, Olga!). I love all these details created with the stones. Beautiful clean skate by Alina. Her smile was radiant throughout :) so nice to see Alina so happy and carefree at a competition.

When she makes it to Beijing, her Olympic LP will consist of nothing but a 4 minute long Ina Bauer held effortlessly. The judges will fling themselves to the ice in tears and fight each other to get to the gold medal to hang it around her neck. It's all part of the plan.
