Not at all, Alina is a celebrity, the only russian with the two crowns, not being at Rusnat doesn’t mean people have to forget about her. She’s the best ambassador to promote figure skating in her country.

Not at all, Alina is a celebrity, the only russian with the two crowns, not being at Rusnat doesn’t mean people have to forget about her. She’s the best ambassador to promote figure skating in her country.
I saw the premiere and it was a lot of work. Alina did a good job :agree:, withdrawing for the rest of the saison was a wise decision. You can’t compete and make shows at the same time.
Our Alina was a splendid sleeping beauty
Seeing how much work required the rehearsals, I wonder how she could be ready for that after the stressful week of the Russian Nationals...
And who could have replaced her in the week of the competition? Because I think that Sleeping beauty role is perfectly suited for Alina!

Navka said the final three days and nights before the premiere were hectic, all the lights, special effects and stage tech had to be tested, the rehearsals took well into the night. The whole crew barely slept. But they coped and managed.

That's definitely NOT what I was talking about. Or are you truly suggesting that precisely I would think that Alina doesn't deserve to be on posters or should be forgotten or not mentioned at RusNats? Or whatever :noshake:
I meant I'm sad Alina is not at Rusnats, I was looking forward to see her above everything. Navka's show is a good thing, Alina seems to enjoy it very much, it may even help her with some expressions, but show and competition are still something different.
In that case why is it weird ? After the GPF, I also wanted to see Alina compete at Rusnat but I’m glad she didn’t because she had engagement with Tatiana Navka and I suppose it was already decided that after the GPF, she will take a break.
Seeing smiling and having fun in a show is more much pleasant to see her struggle in competitions she can’t win.

Tat'yana Navka's show teamed up with the well-known ice skating fan community «Ледокол» (Icebreaker) to announce the New Year contest.
“The magnificent short program of the Olympic champion Alina Zagitova appealed to millions of viewers around the world. Piercing-nagging music, sophisticated choreography, an exquisite costume - all this helped each viewer to feel the skater's skating, feel her emotions and, possibly, come up with a story whose laces are drawn on ice.
And all the words in the world are not enough to describe Alina's skating. But this is a trifle obstacle for a real fan who looks at the programs of his idols not with his eyes, but with his heart.
Our competition is for you, figure skating fans! The rules are very simple:
- Using the video and skating map provided to us by @SkatingMaps, you will need to write a description of Alina’s program to the song “Me Voy”
- The subject of the description can be any, at your discretion - whether it is a description of the artistic and plot component, the story of the images that appear in your mind thanks to the skater's program, about the emotions caused by it, or an interesting note about the technical side of the program, and maybe you decide to combine several topics in one text, or come up with your own unique elegy, unique in its concept and execution
- Leave your text in the comments on the post on the official instagram Navka Show @navka_show
- Subscribe to @ledokoldiscordrussia and @skatingmaps on Instagram
- Leave your profile open until the end of the competition.

I'm not assuming Alina would struggle, definitely not because "she can't win". There are many skaters that "can't win" on every competition, after all, and they compete. Alina would definitely be among those who can medal, at least.
I'm glad Alina is happy, she made this choice of all, but it's not the "Alina's only and permanent choice". Again, this should be taken as a break or vacation of a kind (with a load of work to do and learn), not as an emergency exit.
I felt weird because Rusnats without her is losing part of the feeling.

Yay! I’m glad her fans are still out there representing her even if she is not there. I agree with flanker, Russian Nationals is not the same without Alina.
