Alina Zagitova

Who exactly is Ondrej playing? Prince charming?

I think Princ Charming is from Cinderella, isn't he? Sleeping Beauty has Prince Philip usually, I guess. But I probably don't know the right fairytail, because Sleeping Beauty I know has a different name than they are usually calling Alina. Anyway, Charming is Cinderella's. :luv17:

Yes, we have "Jak se budí princezny", aka How to Wake-up a Princess :agree:

Honestly, I don't remember name of our princess. (And I feel embarassed now, yeah.) But the original Disney one is called Aurora if I remember correctly and translater from Russian said Leia under posts with Alina on IG ( I don't know princess Leia, but google said it exist in Star Wars, guess that's not it.) So I figured either my translater is wrong or there is other movie or fairytail on the motives of sleeping beauty I don't know.

(Šípková) Růženka

Well, the original one (of many) is from 1654, way before Disney :)

Yeah I wasn’t totally exact. I know there was first written one centuries ago (didn’t have a date thoug, so thanks, I learn something :yes2: ), then many written variations on the same themes over the years and then Disney (I honestly don’t even know if Disney was a very first movie). But somehow for me the first globally famous one is Disney from 1959. Maybe I’m too young and don’t care about culture enough. Or I might be too amazed how Disney created such a collection of classic animated movies in such an early years.

Anyway, was any of those very old ones Leia? Or was Alina’s name different? I tried to figure it out a few times, but never with success. :hopelessness:

As I wasn’t there before, I didn’t get a time to say that, but Alina’s dress was stunning and I admire the ease with which se was able to do lifts with Ondrej despite sne was not trained this way. So nice.

(Šípková) Růženka

Omg I better go back into studying. I almost asked sth like “yeah that was her nickname but how was she called?” I’m sorry, pretend I didn’t say a word. Of course she was Růženka.. My finals are slowly (but firmly) stoling the best out of me. :scratch2::laugh:

A nice quote from an interview with Betina Popova -

Also, the skater expressed an opinion about the suspension of Alina Zagitova’s sports career.

“I understand her. It is unlikely that she wants to leave. I honestly think she doesn’t want to. The girl is at the peak of her career ... Yes, she is aware that she is not yet making quadruples. Perhaps it will execute them, I do not know. But she also sees that our three leaders are not immortal. They can pluck elements.

Alina was the champion of everything, and she needs to find some motivation to move on, answer the question: “Why do I need all this?”

If she finds her, it will be cool. She will compete with the same Lisa and other adult girls who are already more consciously approaching this matter, ” Popova said.

I'm afraid only a few people would be able to accept the original version of the story (maybe HBO ).

It happens in noble families as well
Good luck with the exams.

Alina’s named as the athlete of the decade by the website Championat and Russian Eurosport!
Congrats to baby boss, so much recognition in Russia, finally!

Oh, snap! I thought the vote on Eurosport was already over, and it was already decided, hehe :)

Oops. :) I wondered why they were doing another athlete of the decade poll.

I found this nice walk down memory lane. Someone took the trouble to collect the best commentary of last season -

I made me really nostalgic and renewed my hope to see her competing again. Watching her perform in Sleeping Beauty has been one of the most enjoyable parts of the new year. Seeing her this happy -

Is everything.

I hope she finds a balance in her life that makes her truly happy. She has given a lot of years of her young life to achieve what she has and she deserves to have the chance to keep following her dreams.
