Very nice. Alina has still got it. Her presentation is just great and I think that's something that comes with age for a figure skater.

I'm glad Alina is getting more comfortable with dealing with me media and everything. But I still think she does not trust them especially when it comes to questions about the Russian girls and her competitors. I think the only thing the media should ask her about Zhenya anymore is if Massaru has met Jerry yet. ;)

For so many reasons today is a fairy tale. One with a happy ending.

Agree. I am relieved for so many reasons, aside from skating. For Alina, however, I am more than relieved.
For someone not training at full force, she has all her hardest jumps in place. Aside from one less perfect landing on 3Lz all others were clean, including all transitions. Her spins are as good as they always have been.
She seems to have grown, and everything still seems to be in top shape. Glad to know she’s not injured either, and is feeling good.
I was also relieved to see that her relationship with Daniil is still the same as it always been. It‘s just good to know, that she’s happy content with people around her.

I sincerely think she made the right call at the beginning of the season, and seems to be in the right place mentally, emotionally and physically.

the landing was fine, actually - she fell after that, when her blade got into a groove (Masha talked about the quality of ice in her stories, it was awful, with puddles even!)

and if you look closely, you'll see that Alina was surprised when she fell knowing that she'd landed the jump, laughed it off, and skated on as if nothing happened :)

Daniil in his instastory:

"Wow! The premiere of Esmeralda has taken place! I experienced a storm of emotions and am still impressed! There's no one else like Alina, and that is why she is an Olympic champion! How did you like it? 😉"

we're still experiencing that storm, Daniil :)

I think she is dealing with a slight injury. Her ankle was taped and the team Dr. was there, but clearly it made no difference to her performance.

I absolutely love Esmerelda. I am so thankful we got to see it. I hope she will skate it again at the finale of Ice Age. I want to see it one more time.

For someone not training at full force
she hasn't competed in 11 months, isn't training as she used to, and is busy with studies and tv recordings - but still manages to perform TWO competition-worthy programmes with all her hardest jumps in 1 hour

oh, and she performed in this show after a 12-hour shooting of the next Ice Age episode on the previous day that she also spent on ice most of the time

Imagine you are Alina's classmate, typical student. You come to a lecture room, thinking you are totally unable to manage all your things, school, friends, family, hobbies. You are not even determined what to do with your life after school. Then you raise your eyes and see this girl, who is managing school, sport, TV presence, pets and cooking for her sister. Must be frustrating a little.
