That's for sure, there is so much toxicity around now, esopecially on social media even against Nathan's gold it is really upsetting me but I naively thought after the last Olympics such behaviour against a teen would not be seen again.Alina is a ray of sunshine at these Olys:

Unless they were complaining about the color of his shirt, these "keyboard cowards" need a big time reality check. Gimme a break!

Having seen the nasty comments directed towards these girls on a regular basis the last few years, I'm not the least bit surprised now.
I'm just surprised that skaters who have supported her on IG haven't faced a barrage of lunatic tirades too.

I have even learned to love the shirt! It is iconic! Alina has the red tutu. Nathan has space lava shirt.

Well, as you know, I love that shirt. As great as Nathan is, I feel this shirt assured his victory. I was never worried for a second during that entire LP.
But I march to a different drummer, and I do realize some people think he looks like a bag of Doritos in it.
Like all forms of art, everybody has his own taste. Personally, I prefer a painting of dogs playing poker, or a velvet Elvis portrait, over some pretentious work of modern art that looks like a 3 year old threw his finger-painting kit at a wall.
