"Dear Mom, my closest and dearest person! Happy birthday to you❤️

Thank you for the warmth that you've been sharing with me since I was born🥰 For support even in the most difficult times. For giving our whole family your light and warmth! Without you, I wouldn't be who I am today.

I love you very much!"

I have to say that Alina looks extremely beautiful (at least for me) in this "circle" ❤️
I thought she looked tired as well. Two days of training sessions of 6+ hours each and two one-hour photo sessions with the fans do that to you. Well-deserved vacay for Alina. Daniil also looked tired, btw, but he has to keep working, I guess he and Dudakov have some additional seminar with the coaches of that local rink.

Yes, but it somehow adds to her charm :)

“I want to bring up new champions, like Tutberidze.” Alina Zagitova plans to be a coach?

The Olympic champion conducts master classes and receives special education. Will Tutberidze's headquarters soon be replenished?

Alina Zagitova is actively trying herself as a coach: she goes to master classes, receives a special education. Is the Olympic champion preparing to stand at the boards in the rink? Very likely. The skater has all the makings for this, and the example of Tutberidze before her eyes gives her inspiration.

Shooting on the Channel 1 and social life is not the only way for the famous figure skater. She is able to push figure skating forward and raise her own champions.

“I want to study to be a coach and, like Eteri Georgievna, to bring up new champions”

Even before graduation from school, Alina Zagitova was planning to study at a sports university: she said that she wanted to become a coach and, like Eteri Tutberidze, raise champions. The benevolent girl got along well with the children, so it was not difficult to imagine her as a mentor. And her medal-rich past made her a desirable specialist at any rink. Who would refuse to train with an Olympic champion who collected all the gold in two seasons? This incredible success would certainly set her apart from other professionals.

“Now I have taken a short break and do not compete. But I continue to train at Khrustalny 12 hours a day. At the same time, I participate in Tatyana Navka's show "Sleeping Beauty", in which she entrusted me with the main role. And I am preparing to enter the Russian State University of Physical Culture. I want to study to be a coach and, like Eteri Georgievna, raise new champions,” Zagitova shared with Tatler magazine in February 2020.

However, the skater's plans changed somewhat after this interview. Having passed the exam, she submitted documents to the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), where she successfully passed the entrance exams. And she decided to study one of the closest programs to show business there: “Production and Cultural Policy”. Simultaneously with her studies, Alina began working as a TV presenter in the Ice Age show and delighting fans with her beauty from the television screen. It seemed that the dream of becoming a coach had sunk into oblivion.

But, shining on TV, the athlete did not forget about her native ice element and burning children's eyes. Her solid knowledge base and invaluable experience required an outlet, and soon Alina demonstrated her excellent coaching abilities.

Zagitova was inspired by work with young skaters and went to study as a coach

Last spring, Alina went to Yakutia to give a master class in figure skating. She set herself the most serious tasks: not just to teach everyone who wants to do some basic movements, but to work with young skaters that had acquired higher skills. The participants passed the selection and Alina got those who could do doubles. The Olympic champion prepared the most effective exercises for the children and inspired them with her example. The children were delighted with Alina, and she received great pleasure from working with them.

It is not surprising that after that she again found herself in the role of an applicant. This time, Alina decided to get a second higher education at the Russian State University of Physical Culture, Sports, Youth and Tourism. She got into the Faculty of Education, so in the future she will receive an official coaching "document jacket". And this is very important for full-fledged work with children.

Combining studies at two universities, of course, is very difficult, but the champion character allows the girl to push the boundaries of the possible and achieve any goals. Alina knows what she wants and is always ready to work hard and hard.

“Transmitting experience to the younger generation is very worthy”

In the Olympic season, Alina Zagitova went even further in her master classes. Literally. For the sake of young athletes, she went to distant Mexico in November. And shooting in the "Ice Age" show did not stop her. She devoted the only free week she had to classes with the guys on another continent. She went through a very difficult jet lag but was happy to share her experience. And in order to sweeten the intensive classes for her students, she brought them a chocolate surprise from Russia. Is it possible not to love such a coach?

In Mexico, attention was expectedly riveted to Alina, so she answered many questions there. Including about the desire to become a coach.

“I decided for myself that I would not think about the future. We don't know where life will take us. I like it both in the field of journalism and on television. And, of course, being a coach. I think it is very worthy to pass on experience to the younger generation, and this is important for me,” said Zagitova.

Such prudence is very impressive. Alina is very young, but she already thinks about the connection between generations and cares about the future of her sport. On a global scale she wants figure skating to develop all over the world.

Zagitova taught a young figure skater how to do a triple flip properly

Alina confirmed her coaching gift at the next master class in Khabarovsk. The trip to the young skaters together with Daniil Gleikhengauz and Sergey Dudakov turned out to be incredibly successful. Alina worked tirelessly for long hours and even taught one of the participants how to do a triple flip correctly. But once Alina inspired this girl with her performance at the Olympic Games to go into figure skating. The little girl was only three years old then, but that day was preserved in her memory.

“To see Alina was my dream! I watched the Olympic Games where she competed when I was three years old. At that time, I began to practice figure skating. I hope to become an Olympic champion too!

I like everything about Alina Zagitova's skating - jumps, spins. She helped me a lot. She showed me how to jump the flip correctly, I finally did it. It turned out that I used to put my foot under me, but I need to bring it back,” seven-year-old Arina Murashko joyfully told the Khabarovsk Territory Today publication.

In gratitude for the help, Arina hugged the Olympic champion very warmly. And after training, Zagitova was flooded with flowers by the rest of the athletes. They didn’t want to let her go - everyone liked working with her so much.

A great specialist for the Tutberidze team

A wonderful coach could definitely come out of Zagitova. Eteri Tutberidze can be proud that her eminent pupil continues to contribute to figure skating. At first, Alina moved it, skating in competitions, and now she helps others to reach heights in this wonderful sport. An excellent personnel reserve for the Tutberidze team for the future. Perhaps it is in her native Khrustalny that Alina will later find a job and raise her champions. Former students in the coaching staff of Tutberidze are always welcome: Polina Tsurskaya, for example, leads the younger group there for the second year, although she originally planned to become an economist.

Well, and it’s not necessary for Alina to sacrifice a career on television for the sake of coaching. Maxim Trankov clearly showed her that it is possible to succeed in both fields, although something will still have to give, and the other ambition take the leading role.

But nothing prevents Alina from changing her priorities over time: she will be able to take up any road.

(something has definitely happened at Championat.com - such a warm worded article from a tabloid that used to hype on Alina before :))
