Alisa Lozko

There is some talk among Russian fans that her partner is Pitkeev.
Alisa did not name her partner but she did say that that person is also new to ice dance.

This means GAME OVER than.

Come on, less of the pessimism.

Although I was delighted to see 4 girls from Udmurtia competing in Senior Nationals this season, I did think that it could cause problems down the line if there were too many good skaters from the one area competing for places at Nationals.

So, in a way I am relieved that one of them has decided to jump ship.

Yes, it is a shame that Alisa is switching from Singles, because she was doing very well in Juniors (let's gloss over the shenanigans of this season). But, if Ice Dance is what she wants to do, then I think she has chosen the right time to make the switch. She has done it when she is still very young, so she can take as long as she needs to fully learn the ropes (because we all know Ice Dance is all about experience), and still have a long career ahead of her.

So, all the best to Alisa! And to Adian if he is indeed her new partner.

Alisa said she tore a muscle a few months back so she can't jump 3-3s anymore. Switching to ice dance is a logical decision especially since she seems to love that discipline.

There will be an article soon on this, I think.

Alisa also said that they will debut on the Junior circuit (although she is not sure if they will do so this season or next). It will be interesting to see Alisa and Pitkeev skate together at a JGP.

They have no chance to get any JGP events this season and since they are both new to ice dancing I kind of doubt they would make the team next season either but you never know. Some new teams can develop very fast but that rarely happens when both skaters are new to ice dancing. That been said S/S and S/A will move to seniors after this season which will create some space for new teams, so, if everything would work out great for L/P then maybe they could get their chance next season.
