Currently, Russian skaters are suspended by the International Skating Union (ISU) from international competitions. The ISU congress will take place in Thailand on June 6-10.
"The outlines of the programs have been made, the music is still being considered, everything will depend on our common sports fate in the next season. We will complete the programs at the training camp, by this time it will become clear whether the season will be Russian or international. If you have to perform only in Russia "We have a lot of good composers and performers. If we also skate abroad, then, perhaps, there will be different music. We will be determined based on the decisions (ISU) for the season (for Russian figure skaters)," Minchuk said.
The figure skaters of the Moskvina group are currently on vacation, decisions on program directors will be made later, the coach said. “We spent the final day yesterday, now they will have a rest. The gathering in Sochi will begin on June 16, we will see in fact which of our best specialists will be available, we will negotiate with them. There will be an opportunity to cooperate with Ilya Averbukh or Alexander Zhulin – we will talk with them. But for sure we will do something new, as I said, we are looking for new images - both for Sasha and Nastya, and for Sasha and Dima," Minchuk concluded.
