Well, Kondratyuk skates in the likeness of a god, Semenenko skates in a likeness of a devil. There is a Russian saying describing a desperado, ‘doesn’t have faith neither in God, nor in devil’, so basically, I play on that to express my faith in Mozalev vs his two closest opponents. Lol. I was considering adding a third line (about the crows), but it broke the saying.I definitely agree. It's such a shame he got left without a second Grand Prix event first and without Euros and Olympics next. I don't really understand why won't RusFed bet on him, they really do need to start working on building his reputation as I see him one of the most valiable russian contenders for the next Olympic Cycle.
I really hope he manages to snatch two Grand Prix spots next season, but since our beloved RusFed left him without Euros and Olympics (at least, not sure about Worlds, hopefully they will send him to Words) this season, this might be a challenge.
Also, what does your profile picture mean? I know what it says in russian, but I feel like I'm missing some context haha.
In terms of Mozalev, it is obvious that he will not be given. He will have to take it. And if he can’t take from the other Russian men, he wouldn’t be able to take from American or Japanese men either. Because if Semenenko or Kondratyuk are tough to beat for him, well, try current top six, and at least four of them have glorious technical content. In the end of the day, that’s what he needs, to be able to not just go to a big competition, but be successful in that competition, getting as close as possible to that top six.
So, yes, basically I am focusing all my heart’s energy on Mozalev getting what he actually needs, vs wants.
He actually progressed a great deal with that bronze and reserved, businesslike reaction to being passed over—he needs the support of the Fed to get GP next year with his short and PB. Now my biggest hope that he could solidify it by decisively winning CoR Final, whoever goes there.
