Wow!!! Anna is the Queen. Again I think she was under-scored. I loved he comment about girls vs. women skaters. I hope she can stay healthy and keep her focus going into Worlds.

With Carolina back in competition, the field of top performers is really exciting. I wouldn't be surprised if Ashley Wagner finished 5th, 6th or even 7th at Worlds this year.

Another thought - With all the emphasis on brain concussions this year in American Football, I suspect the Anna may have suffered a concussion at the 2015 NHK Trophy event. I have watched the video several times, and the first fall in the short program was severe...it looks like her head bounces off the ice. The rest of that short program was a disaster. I don't think she was able to recover for the Free Skate.

Hard to believe it actually came true Problem is, no one else seems to notice! She gets no love even from her own country. Crowds politely clap but no standing o's. Judges smack down. Even on this message board I had to dig deep to find this fan thread despite that she is probably number 2 lady in the world. I feel worse for her now than when she was splatting! But she is strong. Hopefully she will find some measure of glory before her poor old will finally succumbs

On the other hand - there was that thread about changing opinions in the edge. On the contrary, I think Anna gets a lot of love here, maybe not uber-level love, but definitely more appreciation than bashing!

Actually many people love her. My friend saw her at Boston and said she had huge presence on ice and he thinks she was robbed. I hope she will sercure a spot for Olympic even though it is so difficult with the Eteri army and CSKA. :sad21:

Congratulations to Anna!!! Not the perfect of jumps but she did wonderfully. I was most impressed by her backloaded combo's (really great she hang in there). We know you can do better and *ahem* place better. Cheers to Worlds!

Unfortunately, unless something drastic happens to Jack, Anna will have to keep improving to maintain the second position in the world. All the best skaters in the world are now skating for second place. Anna is a fighting Queen and will give it her all to be the best she can be.

I wouldn be so rash. She had made it, no question, but she was unsure in every single moment.
You could see it during her whole program: if she made a bigger mistake, she would have ended up in one of her classical fiascos.
And even she knows, that it wasnt her week. [Just look at her reaction as she mix up the result of her FP (place 3) with the final result.]
