What I admire the most about Anna is what a fierce competitor she is. She just delivers when it counts, that's something you cannot teach. Who cares about the falls in the trainings, when she nails the jumps in competition. And her lines and moves have only grown more beautiful over the years! I believe in her that she will bring the quads back as well!

Exactly. You can have all the talent in the world but to be able to bring it to the table so to speak is what marks Anna out as a champion. She is the consumate competitor.

I called her Lazarus in the Russian women‘s thread. And that was before her heroics today. Champions always find a way.
With Anna, you just have to ignore practices, or how she feels going into the event. Just trust her to come through when it counts.

Anna was beautiful today, as she always is. I had missed her so much! And the dress is incredible, I fell in love on second sight.
Mistakes are ok, I trust Anna to take it as a learning experience and always keep improving.

Just a couple of photos I took there! The lighting was terrible so not the best quality (and my camera is not the best either), but hey, I was there! 
As for Anna's performance, I can only say she was magical and it was heart-warming to see how very much she was loved by the people! 
Right behind us, where we were sitting with my friend, there was a group of fans (I guess they were friends actually and I could here a mixture of Russian and Hungarian chattering) and they held up a banner when Anna finished her SP. Had it been a bigger event broadcast by a TV channel, we would have on it too for sure! 
Of course I'm looking forward to the FP tomorrow! 
(I'm gonna post better quality photos later on, 'cause my friend also took photos with his professional camera...)

Tonight I flipped on this channel for my alphabet training, and even if I can hardly recognize some words on the fly ( it goes by too fast

Beautiful pictures. Somehow, because they're darker, they captured beautifully the glittering of the dress, which is amazing when you see it with your own eyes but is kind of lost in TV...Just a couple of photos I took there! The lighting was terrible so not the best quality (and my camera is not the best either), but hey, I was there!

My feelings about today's result is just that, some random person online, who cares!
The important thing is Anna was beautiful on the ice today. There are things to improve, but there are also things that are god given and cannot be learned, such as talent for performance, musical understanding and interpretation, flexibility and composure and soundness of competitive mind - all of which Anna has in spades! I also love this program more now than when I first saw it. I predict it will continue to grow as the season goes on.
So congratulations to Anna on the silver and a successful first competition of the season!

Anna is fine, this is just a small drill comparing to all the big events she attended. Of course I don't want to downplay the competition, I am very happy for Maiia.
Although not in perfect shape, I must say that I feel good about the fact that her physical condition is not bad. Staying healthy will be THE most important factor in her success this season, and I am sure her parents and coaches will take good care of it!
