Anna Shcherbakova

Tough morning practice for Anna.
4F fall, 2*2A landed, then several falls on 3Lz and fall on 3Lz-3Lo, clean 3F-eu-3Sal.

She was upset and apparently cried.
However today ends for her, I hope she can be happy that she even made it to worlds, after a rough season and pneumonia hitting her hard.

Honestly I don't know how she does it after a rough practices to then go out and win. Anna is tougher than nails.

Congratulations to Anna Ballerina on her 1st world championship. And we don't have to hear how she can't win internationally anymore. ;)

It's been a tough year for the skaters and coaches and I want to congratulate them all at TT and everywhere else for that matter. I'm hoping that the Olympic season will be a normal Olympic season with full Grand Prix events full challengers full junior events so we can see these marvelous athletes at their best.

Because, as I said before, and many times loudly, she is a big game player. Even when not perfect, finds a way to win.

I had her 1 and Liza 2 on my predictions. Because Liza was the only past champion here and you never count out a champion.

We're gonna have to get you to make a prediction for the Olympics. But not until next February. ;)

Anna is a super clutch skater much like Zheyna before she broke her foot. But at some point these rough practices are going to carry over into competition arent they?

Anna fought through everything this year including illness and the craziness of an abbreviated an emic season and was the best skater. And she won the 2nd biggest International title you can win in her sport. Plus Russian nationals which is an event somewhere between world championships and Europeans for the Russian ladies in my opinion.

She does practice well. Was just off at them this week. But, practices don’t go into history books, medal winners do.

Congrats to Anna on the World title! :love2: Pulling off the 3Lz+3Lo after missing it for the first time gave me major Alina at the Olympics vibes. It was such a precious moment when she realized she had won. And her English is just amazing.

(This was not a particularly good skate for her standards but she pulled thorugh and that's all that mattered. Her Nationals skate was the skate of the season though.)

Congratulations to Anna!

Being a fan is not an easy job. I have been in "self-exile" for almost a week, without clicking the like button or saying a word. I thought anything I did here would jinx her. I remember how nervous I was during the 2019 World Championships when Alina was competing. This time was much worse. I couldn't sleep last night, and I kept refreshing yahoo home page after 5:00pm (eastern time), hoping to see a flash of FS headline. Poor me, I have a weak heart.

Now I can enjoy my weekend!

Thank you Anna!
