Anna's fangroup Team Shcherbakova gave Anna this gift, 4 custom baubles all based on her dresses. It includes her latest and fairly new SP dress. Anna also shared this in her instagram stories on 17.12.21, but they disappear after today.

In general, I am not a huge fan of fan gifts, no matter how nice the intention. It very often breeds fan entitlement, and often becomes an ego competition between fandoms. But anyway who cares what I think.

These though, are so thoughtful and beautiful. I am so glad to see Anna receive such a gift, honestly!

Hello! Don't usually visit the Fan fest threads, came across this nice article about Shcherbakova from the Finnish composer of her music last year, thought I would post it here:

Many years ago this tune was taken by a group of Finnish skaters - I first learned about using my piece in such a context. Last year I received messages from people who saw Anna Shcherbakova's program.I also looked and was impressed by her skill and artistry. I think figure skating has the same sense of momentum as music, so it suited her very well....

I am very happy that music continues to live in this way. I didn't think about that when I was working on the film in 2007. Shcherbakova's performance definitely showed me the music in a new light - I did not expect such an effect at all.

• I had no contacts with Shcherbakova's team, but they did a great job - and it seems to me that thanks to them my work was noticed in a completely new way.

I occasionally watch sports, I watch figure skating during the Olympic Games - I am always interested in the interaction between movement and music. In other sports, I went to some NHL games when I was in Los Angeles, it was fun. And my parents and I had a tradition of watching Formula 1 races with coffee - and we continue to do so.

Most of the music I write is custom made for clients. Forgiveness was also like that, it was required for the film.I wrote music for different situations, so if I was approached with a request from the world of figure skating - yes, it would be possible...

• I've never been to Russia, although I've worked on Russian films and video games. But I'll get to your country someday! I would definitely like to visit her.

And she's using Finnish music again in her free for this season. Forgiveness was the second piece of music in her FP last year, this year her first piece is Ruska by Apocalyptica.

('Ruska' means what I've heard the Russians call 'golden autumn'. That time of year or scenery when the leaves turn golden or red or so)
