And Satoko. I haven't been their biggest fan but I enjoyed their performances, they were both nice girls and it's just sad we won't see them anymore.. but Anna retiring is truly a scary thought...
Who retired besides Alysa?

I thank coronavirus for over 2 years missing championship championships and missing practices and living in bubbles and wearing masks all over the place has taken a toll on a lot of these phenomenal skaters.

I don't think Anna will retire I think she wants to skate into her twenties competitively. I hope she gets those opportunities she deserves them.

Tghose are two different situations, At the 1TV Cup Anya stated that she intends to continue with skating, but if she would finish, the reasons will be more external than subjective.
Let's hope she won't finish any time soon. That would be a disaster for the sport as Anna is just coming into her prime and she wants to continue for years. Nothing Anna or any of her teammates have done warrants being banished. Sure Anna will be incredible in shows but it's competitions where she is also fantastic is tastic sets the bar so high. This girl after all has made the podium in every event of her senior career.

Satoko Miyahara. Of course it's extremely unlucky these past few years, first Covid and now ban. And just in time of the prime of several of my favourite figure skaters ever. I don't think I will ever like anyone more... but what can we do.. just pray things will come to normal soon..

I thought she retired a long time ago but I guess not. The door is sure wide open without Anna Sasha KV Liza etc. going to these International competitions. It's not fair to these athletes to weaken these competition so severely if these competitions for 3 of the 4 categories. I'm not sure a season of just domestic competitions will keep Anna going although I would love to see her skate competitively until her early twenties. Maybe she can use Liza as a great example on how to lengthen your career.

To snap your fingers and ban the greatest country in the history of figure skating is very dubious especially after they've won about 80 more medals at worlds than Iny other country and they just won twice as many medals at the figure skating Olympics than any other country. Banning Russia really weakens the competition and skaters like Anna and Alina need to start saying these things publicly. If they don't they will continue to be walked over and brushed aside.

Yes Azi let's hope things will return to normal soon. But it will have to be a new normal because the old normal is gone for good.

Glad to see Anya happy at the shows they are doing but I wish she was going to other countries to do shows as well. Maybe next year. There is no equal of her as a lady skater in these shows.

Right now I hope Anya has a good off season she has earned a rest. :)

Friends! Olympic champion in figure skating Anna Shcherbakova intends to prepare for the next season.

Today, the figure skater performed in the Eteri Tutberidze show in Moscow.

"At the beginning of May, a vacation, there will be a full opportunity to recover and relax. There are no plans for programs yet. I'm preparing for next season, but I'm not teaching any new quads at the moment.

Rittberger trained quad when she was going to compete at the World Championships, but then focused on pure program rental. When there were plans for the World Cup, there was more enthusiasm to teach him.

I really enjoyed performing now, I put more emphasis on choreography, and I tried to stop myself from being nervous. All the same, it happens, now I didn't have enough six-minute warm-up to feel the ice. I'm trying to fix it. I do more choreography, I look into the eyes of the audience, " said Shcherbakova.

First line: "You have the biggest bouquet so far of all the other skaters who have already completed the performance"
