"When I was going through an unsuccessful period, my parents suggested finding a sports psychologist. I took it with offense and flatly refused"

"I think my main psychologist is myself. But in sports, when I had an unsuccessful period and a psychological problem, my parents suggested finding a sports psychologist. I took it with offense and flatly refused. I think it was right that I thought about it myself. After I sorted myself out, I always showed my best. Now I think that this is absolutely normal, the main thing is that it makes a person feel better," said Olympic champion Shcherbakova.

– Have you experienced the negative aspects of a sporting nature?

– Probably, if I have some opinion, it will be difficult to convince me otherwise.

– Are there people who can make you doubt?

- Of course, I can listen to another point of view. The first people I will consult with are my parents, I can agree, I can stick to my opinion.

– Was there a teenage rebellion?

– There were similar moments. I think it was postponed a little because there was discipline in sports, and I didn’t really think about anything else. After 18, life after sports began: interesting, new, unknown to you. Everything is new, you grow up, change. Probably, the relationship with your parents changed too. You grow up, you develop your own opinion, which you express. In the first year, there was a grinding in (with parents), now the relationship of an adult with adults.

Daria Sadkova from Okko:

Betina:– Do you have someone who truly inspires you, who would encourage you to achieve new things in figure skating?

Daria:"I've always been inspired by Anya Shcherbakova, who was known for her ability to concentrate at the right time and in the right place, and that's a very valuable quality in a figure skater. I also like her skating and the way she executed her jumps, so she's a role model for me."

Betina:- I think that Olympic Champion Anna Shcherbakova is a role model for many. Indeed, Anya has a steely character that one can only envy and strive to emulate.
