Anna Tarusina

ST GERVAIS - Shortly before 2 p.m. today a shuttle bus on its way to the skating arena was involved in an accident. Five people were on board, including Russia's Anna Tarusina, her coach Sergei Davydov, and Latvia's Anzelika Klujeva. The bus reportedly slammed into an electrical pole on the side of the road.

All suffered minor to severe head and/or leg injuries and were transported to hospital.

I really really hate the part about "severe head and/or leg injuries" especially since Anna has been sent to another hospital.

Only two days ago, I was looking forward to seeing her perform,
and now judging with what I read, this season for her seems to be already over, even before it starts.
At this moment all I can hope is that her injury is not severe enough to damage her skating career for too long,
and she will show up at next season's JGP.

From twitter.

Tarusina had knee surgery, internal ligaments torn. Stitches on arm + head too. Davydov had head injury, lost memory of accident, checked out of hospital, back to Moscow for treatment

Few days ago she had a periscope stream, where she was talking about this-and-that.
Unfortunately I dont speak Russian, so maybe someone could sum up, what she was talking about.

So far as I understood from other sources, she was operated on her head as well.
Thats why she wears the scarf. One moment she even points where here hairs are
missing. It is really sad if they set in a plate. Her skating-career could be over before
it even began.

Her ask-account if interested : http://ask.fm/anntarusina

Don't have the original source but people are saying that Davydov has said that Anna will start competing soon. Great news.

Don't know this for a fact but I think she has qualified for the Russian junior championships despite the fact that she withdrew from her JGP event.

Reviving this thread because she just did really well in her SP at Elder Age Nationals!! and she is 5th with 65.92, good score :)

Really happy that Tarusina was able to win here, now she should get once again get the JGP spots she deserves. I really hope she has much better luck with them this time...
