No. The team captains from each sport at the Olympics vote on who the flagbearer will be. So Michelle has a shot at it, but not based on the USOC award.

According to today's newspaper, the other finalists were Serena Williams, Jennifer Rodriguez (speedskating), Chellsie Memmel (gymnastics) and Angela Ruggiero (hockey). Lance Armstrong won for the men (yea!) and the U.S. women's gymnastic team was the team winner.

Michelle has won the USOC's Sportswoman of the Month award 14 times.
