Any Sasha updates?

I have to say I have really liked most of Michelle & Sasha's costumes. Michelle was more understated beauty & Sasha had dramatic flair. I thought both had wonderful taste. Although both had a few less than glamourous dresses, Id say on the whole both got A+ for outfits. I could name a few others though......:p

and I cant wait til Nationals starts!!!!:clap: Keep that countdown rollin:agree:

Kwantastic!!!!

Are so many posts here about Michelle kwanfusing?

I don't think so - Michelle and Sasha will always have a link. There has been some very fair-minded and even genuine support for Sasha's comeback from many of Michelle's fans.

Let me kwangratulate many of the Kween's fans for such sporting behavior.

But I agree, I'm not too fond of those plunging necklines Sasha appears to love-her Rach dress would've been a fave of mine had it not been cut down to her bellybutton. Loved the collar scheme and the skirt.

I liked that costume on Sasha. I followed Sasha's fan page at the time and saw that she had designed it herself. All her drawings and the various phases of completion kept me interested. She even did the final glitter work by hand.

Just so you all know, I am and have been a seriously ardent Michelle Kwan fan since the early '90's - not just her skating, but her as a person also. That does not prevent me from being able to appreciate Sasha's obvious talents both on and off the ice. I have eyes and at least part of a brain, and I try to be fair to all the skaters. It increases my enjoyment of the sport to be open minded about it. I like many skaters, but of the current crop of American ladies, Sasha is at the top of my list.

Maybe she is discontinuing her website? She has not written a new jouranl in almost a year and when she did she never wanted to talk about skating... always her vacation or her new cooking class. Michelle never had a website, and Sasha has become just as if not more secretive.

possibly, though why does it go to figure skaters online? maybe they're taking control of the site?

well, yes, SashaFans would still be running (though the site is horribly outdated. :() it's a fan forum run by fans, not Sasha/her people.

I just watched a segment on the Today Show on NBC. The segment was "Going for Gold, will the Olympics be a bust?" (Sunday). They talked about how there isn't any big name athletes from the U.S. going to the Olympics. They showed segments of Kristi, Sarah and Michelle in the past Olympics.; Sasha's name wasn't even mentioned. They said that the only hope in figure skating was probably Evan, an unknown (I thought he was a big name skater in the U.S.. I was disappointed that they never even mentioned Sasha's name. I wonder if anyone else saw the program.

I missed the show but I would not to much credence in what NBC says.
Check out the link I posted below and the caption information under Emily's photo.

Evan's not a big name because he's male. Therefore he's substar..... most people who watch only every four years *might* remember him as the kid who ALMOST made teh podium, but I doubt it...

Was it about the whole Olympics, or just about figure skating. We have lots of top competitors going in other sports.

If it was just about figure skating, was it only about ladies? Besides Lysacek, we has strong prospects in dance.

I wonder what NBC's sports division thinks about it all. What if viewers took the Today Show at it's word and didn't tune in for the Olympics? ::)

By the way, Sasha was on the Today Show last week.

I have seen a couple of NBC Olympic commercials for skier Lindsey Vonn - and they are pretty positive about her medal chances.

It will be interesting to see what NBC's Olympic commercials will be like during Natls......

weekend Today isn't exactly the best anyway, they're not as well watched for that reason... I'm a diehard fan of the weekday show... Maut Lauer is someone I've crushed on for years (yes, I know I'm weird).

as for stars in other sports, go Kikkan Randall! (she made the team last weekend)
