she did. Until she went running home to Papa Nicks this past fall.
Talk about "granny", I reckon Nick's must be over 70 years old by now!

Is he 80?! I think he is![]()

They are reporting over at FSUniverse that it has been "confirmed" that Sasha will compete. I think they are stretching the facts a little. But I hope they are right.

I think you are right - and even at 80 he is still the only coach who can handle Sasha![]()

...This all makes me think that if Sasha shows up and isn't stellar, some of the top ladies could easily pass her. I know she says she has great practices but after such a long time off, and at the age of 25, I can't help but wonder who good she will really be.

My biggest concern re. Cohen's return was her getting held up even after a dismal performance. But I'm surprised and impressed with the way the event is being judged so far. One of the faves didn't skate well enough to be in the top 2 and it wasn't given to them. Likewise, they missed the Oly team. This gives me hope that no one will be held up and thus we can now focus attention on the skating.
Win, lose or draw, this season has been Sasha's greatest performance. She has held the audience entralled without ever setting foot on the ice.
As Tallulah Bankhead once said to a young upstart ingenue who thought the great one was over the hill, "I can upstage you, dahling, without even being on stage.".
Then she proceeded to do it. As she exited just before the young actress's big scene, she placed a wine glass on a table, precariously ballanced on the edge. Will it fall or won't it? All during the scene the audiences' attention was fixed on Tallulah's glass.![]()
OK, so Sasha's a "granny" who should move out of the way for the next generation, and her coach is senile. Any more ageist comments to add to the conversation? :disapp:Funny how the only coach that can handle Sasha is 80 atnd probably has trouble remembering what she did in practice last week...

You have so little confidence in the USFSA.It will be confirmed when her name is called in the Ladies' Short Program and she gets into her opening pose...
My biggest concern is that you would even go there. Are you always so sad???My biggest concern re. Cohen's return was her getting held up even after a dismal performance.
