AP McDonough withdrew from the Soutwestern Regional Competition which was held a week and a half ago. Since she didn't compete in that qualifying competition, her season is over as far as the possibility of competing at Nationals is concerned.

There are no more injury byes. AP is done for the season, and that's that.

Well that stinks. Hopefully she'll use this season off to get prepared for next year and take that 3rd spot at Nationals.

I've never seen someone so unhappy-looking on the ice as AP last year. I hope that she is able to spend this season deciding what she wants to do in her life, and *if* it's skating, to see her come back next year.

Last year she gained some weight and her programs were not suitable to her style. Hope she can find her old self beck.

Guinevere, now that you mention it AP DID look unhappy on the ice last year. Really a shame that she'll miss this season... sometimes they never come back. Gee... wasn't that long ago we were all blathering about the depth of the US womens team... and now... well... sheesh.

Too bad she wasn't healthy enough to come up with a "go-through-the-motions" program at Regionals. You know the judges would have held her up and advanced her.
