Just found that Gazetta have been running a page of updates all day

Last update was 35 minutes ago. It says something about 2 years (minimum for breaking anti-doping rules) and 3 months (for meeting Ferrari).

Oh, I hate Google translate! I can't work out if this is what she has been given, or what the prosecution is asking for!!!

Another update was posted while I was writing the previous post.

Caro and her lawyers only arrived about 10 minutes ago, so that wasn't the verdict.

Fingers crossed that sense will prevail.

Well, at least it wasn't the rediculous longer than Alex ban that was being talked about earlier in this thread.

But it's still a disgrace that she got a ban at all!!!

She's been convicted one year and 4 months. The sentence begins today. Sad news people! I think this is the end of her career.
 
As long as she can keep her medals, everything else is just a bonus. I mean she is going to retire anyway, the ban is meaningless.
 
Well at least it's not as terrible as they suggested in the first place. I hope Carolina will be alright.

That's bad, because the final ruling says it all; she is indeed guilty of helping her ex-boyfriend doping.

I do agree that she shouldn´t have helped her boyfriend. But what you gonna do, as everyone said her careers is over, and maybe she will lost some sponsors.

Carolina's lawyer announced that they will appeal to TAS in Losanna.

forget about this.. carolina come to asia and skate for ice shows.. with more $$$! and live a life!

besides.. she doesn't have to prove to anyone anymore..
 
Well, still, a cloud will hang over her career forever, and this will be a permanent part of her bio.
