Before and After

John King,
My Man! Great rhyme! I already wrote a song for Nicole on the "Burt Bacharach" thread. Wish I'd known about her new boobage then. I could have incorporated it into the song. Of course I still can. Hopefully the muse will help me today. But nice one, John!
Thanks, rgirl, but I pilfered it off Charles Nelson Reilley from Laugh-In(which tells you my age,OUCH!).

Those are definitely fake. They really look it. Skaters with chests can flatten them out a little, but you still notice they are there. Good sports bras will do that. Nicole is definitely not one of these cases.

she got a boob job

oh my god!! Ms. Bobeck got a boob job and they look mighty perky if I do say so myself:D

If she was still elgibile I'd bet the judges wouldn't care if she couldn't land triple jumps...they'd be too busy staring at her chest!! I wonder what her new cup size is...let's all take a guess at it I say she is about a double C cup

Are They Live or Are They Memorex?

As to whether Nicole's bodacious new look is from surgical enhancement, cookies, or something else, Anna Nicole Smith SWEARS her breasteses grew five cup sizes just from breastfeeding her son. Did you all know about this?! I'm old enough that I had to take Home Economics in Jr. High and we never heard a THING about this special byproduct of breastfeeding. How did this one (or those two) get by me?

And Paula, geez! How many times do we have to tell you?! You have got to keep track of your body parts! I know it's been a rough week, but if you don't look after them, who will? (Don't answer that.) And you KNOW Nicole is not going to give back a fine pair like that. Now, repeat after me: I, Paula...will not lose...my boobies...anymore. Okay, write that 100 times on the forum and we won't make you read Rgirl's giant posts.

John King: I remember "Laugh-In" and Charles Nelson Reilly, which tells you how old I am. The great stuff is timeless though, isn't it?

Dave Amorde: "If those are cookies, they have double stuff!" Line of the day, man, line o' the day:laugh:

Different strokes for different folks... but I guess that I'll never stop wondering why people do that to themselves (unnecessary plastic surgery). Not that she was lacking anything before.

In, say, 20 years, it may be hard to pick an individual out of a crowd.

No. I don't think it's possible, either. ;) I've seen a documentary about her, and if I remember correctly, she wasn't hiding the fact she had surgeries (why would she need them if she grew five cup sizes naturally?).

I don't understand it either. To have foreign objects permanently jammed in your body? Urgh. And there's a strong medical data, that it could be a danger for an implant's recipient's health too.

When a celebrity, like a well known skater seeks this procedure, it cannot be done discreetly, since anyone can find "before," and "after" pictures. Why get under the surgeon's knife, to get bigger boobs, when the whole world would know they're not real anyway?

This post reminds me of the interview I did with Lucinda Ruh.

Morgan Mayer: So, did you really get a boob job this year?

Lucinda: Where in the world did you get that rumor and which picture are you looking at?? :-) No, I did not get a boob job. I think I am just growing up in the right direction. :-) Besides, that would totally mess up my center of gravity in my spins!

Anyway, skaters are people too. Regardless of what we think of them, they have a right to do as they please just like anyone else. Who are we to question, judge, criticize, etc?

We can talk about the dangers of breast implants, but guess what's so ironic? These skaters take a pounding on those knees and ankles and that's something a plastic surgeon can't fix. So should we start another thread talking about why we should remove 'jumps' from figure skating as it is hazardous to their health?

Come on y'all.....skating season's upon us. Surely we can find more interesting things.

Noticed

Guess I would have noticed. Even though I'm not especially interested in other woman's ta tas. But, honestly, does her chest have much appeal after looking at her face? The lady is a KNOCKOUT. Her smile is a billion kilowatts.

Then, again, I'm a huge fan of Victoria V. It's her jumps, guys. It's her jumps.

Windspirit, Yes, ANS eventually spoke openly about the implant surgeries, but early on during her first appearances in Playboy and as the Guess Jeans model, she swore she grew from A to F just from nursing.

Cosmetic surgery is fine by me, but I do wonder about the children of parents who have had major "work done." Do they go to their parents one day and say, "Mom, why didn't I get what you got?" Or "Mom and Dad, I've got this big schnozzola while you've got noses straight out of Cosmo and GQ. Is there something I don't know or did I get the special schnozz genes of the family tree?";)

Anyway, Paula makes a great point. With all the 3/3s and quads, what many of these skaters are going to be needing are knee and hip replacement surgeries, a lot before they're 40--which gives me an opening to harp on my favorite skating peeve: BUILD BETTER SKATE BOOTS! We have the materials and technology and someone has already designed and built a hinged skate boot that reduces the forces on the hip of the landing leg and spreads them out more evenly among the hip, knee, ankle, and lower back. How many Yagudins, Taras, Stellatos, Naomi Nari Nams, Galindos, and who knows how many others is it going to take before the muscuoloskeletal health of elite skaters becomes a priority? It's like having antibiotics but not giving it to people with infections. Off topic, I know. I just hate to see these skaters work so hard to do things on boots that are not designed to do them and end up with permanent damage to certain joints, sometimes at a very young age. I find it so sad and unnecessary.

are you sure it's not the angle? because a lot of skaters look FLAT in one pic and the very next pic they're showing more ;)

'cept for Katarina... you can ALWAYS see hers ;)

Linny, if you're saying that Bobek and Volchkova are as gorgeous from the neck up as they are from the neck down, you'll get no argument from me.

No one questions the right of these people to do all they want to their bodies. And we have a right to question, judge, approve, or criticize their choices. Besides, such appearance enhancing procedure, Miss Bobek (or should we alter it to "Boobek"? :D ) went through, is a definite call for attention. I guess, if she didn't want people to notice and express opinions, she wouldn't go for implants, to begin with.

Regarding the observation on a risk of getting injured in skating (sport's related), I think it's quite a stretch, to suggest, that since those athletes are ready to sacrifice their hips and knees, to achieve their goals, hence it's OK for them to stuff their bodies with silicon. What's next, telling them that it's also OK to smoke 2 packs a day, since their health is doomed anyway?
