Best knee pads?

I sprained my knee a few weeks ago after falling hard on my kneecap, and now I’m looking at knee pads for when I go back on ice this week.

Are gel pads or foam volleyball pads better? I’ve seen some skatingspirit gel ones that look good, but they look so thin that I’m not sure if they offer good protection.

Hi and welcome. Sorry to hear about your injury. You don't want anything hard or too bulky or you will get more injured if you should fall again.
You could look at something like this if it would fit your needs as a skater. There are pads like this, they also sell them in black if you choose that colour instead.

Thank you! I ended up getting some gel ones as they seem popular. I'll see how they work out.
