Hi,
I'm dad and totally new to the sport. I’ve started wondering whether my daughter might need to upgrade and change her boots and blades.
I bought her current skates 1 year ago, Edea Chorus 225 with JW Coronation Ace Lite blades. She likes the skates and got an Norwegian, Asian foot shape. (before she had Edea Overture 220 with stock blades)
She's 10 yo (soon 11 yo), first year Cubs / Basic Novice skater, length/weight 146 cm/33 kgs, practicing 8h on-ice and 6h off-ice per week.
She lands 2S, 2T, and 2Lo in competition, Her spins, step-sequence are at Level 1. Recently, in practice she doing just as well with 2F and 2Lz so I guess they should be in program after summer. She's done steady progress with PB scores each competition this year.
Not landing 2A and 3S/3T yet, but practicing them about once per week. She is also practicing more advanced spins, StSq, knife, cantilever which she really likes. In the rink I see she's practicing more with other groups like Springs up to Novice girls.
I'm considering to buy Edea Ice Fly 230 with Pattern 99 8.5 inch next for her.
Considering make the trip to a shop / fitter in Sweden from Norway. Tips appreciated.
Edit: My AI-friend Copilot suggested the below.
Stay in Edea Chorus or Edea Concerto for next boot. (not Ice Fly)
Blade: Coronation Ace (standard) or Gold Seal
