Hiii i’m a 17 year old beginner figure skater currently learning AUS preliminary (scratchspin change of foot(backspin) sit/camel spin, flip jump, loop jump etc. i started in february this year and i bought jackson debuts in april/may and got them heat moulded. they started to give me a lot of pain and discomfort about 2 months ago everytime i’d get on the ice even after 5 minutes of skating without doing spins or jumps. i spoke to high coaches and a skate boot professional and they recommended to get new insoles and heat moulded again. i did and they were fine for a while. recently i’ve started to notice that my heel lifts up in the boot everytime i skate and my foot wobbles anytime i use my toe pick (waltz jump, ballet jump etc) ive tried tieing them in several different ways, looser and tighter and i am never comfortable in them anymore. ive tried bunga pads and other forms of gel to protect my foot more but nothing helped. the pain and discomfort has also come back a lot and its around the ball of my foot and the sides and my ankles. i know debuts are for doubles but including my weight and how fast i progress, debuts were selected for me. any advice on what i should do?? do i make a switch to edeas? (i don’t have high arches, my foot is a tiny bit wide)
