Background:
Male, 170lb, 6 feet tall. Working on singles. Currently skating in Risport RF3.
Greek/African feet, medium arches. Left foot: D ball, B heel. Right foot: E ball, B heel. Low volume foot. Skinny ankles.

My current RF3s have been stretched to the max but still causes discomfort/pain after 45 mins-1 hour on the ice. Working with my fitter, they are suggesting I move to custom Jackson boots to better fit my feet. My fitter has lots of experience with Jacksons and feel comfortable fitting me for them.

For those of you with custom Jackson boots, do you have any advice for ordering? Obviously, I'll be working closely with the fitter but it seems a lot of special requests can be accommodated when ordering custom boots, you just need to know what to ask for. One skater I talked to said their 3rd pair of customs were the best after they knew what to ask for from their first two...haha. For example, I'll be asking for more height in my toe box to better accommodate insoles.

So, are there any areas I should be asking my fitter to watch for? Are there any modifications you wish you had asked for sooner? In general, were you happy with your custom Jackson boots? I'm interested to hear both success stories and horror stories. Thanks!
