Boyang Jin

I just realized I never came in here to place my name on the Boyang fan registration list.
Better late than never.
Hope he does well in the LP...that call has my blood boiling.

Welcome Xen! Thank you for joining this small group of Boyang Fan forum.

And yes, I totally agree with you about your 'blood boiling', mine too!! I haven't watched any of the events yet (at work at the moment), have to get my info from Boyang's page here. From what Chopinskate has posted above, I am utterly furious!! What BS judging!! Sorry, I have to voice my frustration here.

Vincent's 4Ltz - totally UR by a mile
Nathan's 4Flip - borderline double footing & UR by a 1/2 rotation.
Also, if you guys notice, Boyang has much superior technique in the air and in the take off. Vincent's technique is awful. Also Boyang has much better height in his jumps too. To think that Boyang is behind Vincent just rouse me up.

Boyang, I have faith in you! Skate the lights out in the Free! Sarah Hughes jumped from 4th to 1st to win Olympic Gold - I remember her saying, 'I have nothing to lose'. Show the rest what real skating is and what real jumping technique look like.

He should be in top 3 after sp!

I want him to move up after the free more than anything. I love his free skate program and he skates it with such joy. I hope he is happy with his result, but I just always wonder how happy he can be when European judging really seems to be against him most of the time. I liked Boyang the minute I first saw him skate and I've been so proud to watch him grow into his skating, love his stylism and his obvious enjoyment of the ice... now I'm getting emotional! Good luck in the free Boyang!

When I saw Zhou in the top 3 and above Boyang in TES.. I was like you lieeeee...... He under-rotates everything and his quads are so forced!

I'm crying for Boyang and Shoma. :sad21:

Max Ambessi seems to have had enough.

It’s pretty crazy to see one of the most prominent and knowledgeable voices in FS agreeing with us “internet crazy people” in calling out the ISU — I mean, if you’re going to rig the podium, at least be subtle about it? [emoji849] Regardless, while I have no love for Boyang’s free programme, I have every hope he can skate clean and (ideally) get the marks he actually deserves. Which would mean a podium finish.

He’s such a sweet guy. It broke my heart that this happened to him. It’s not even whether or not he deserved the call, but how grossly unfair it was to single him out. Rules apply to everyone or we may as well skip the skating and just hand out the medals.

actually, looking at the bright side i think this performance can just give him more motivation to do better next time, i'm waiting for boyang to completely rule the ice rink someday that the judges will be too scared to do him any point reduction for unnecessary elements (his short program score should have been better tbh). he's still young, he can very well do extremely well and perhaps podium in beijing 2022 :agree:

It was heartbreaking to see Boyang fall today :( I hope he won’t let this affect him too much and come back stronger next season!

I woke up and immediately checked the result.
:sad21:
Poor sweetie.

Me too.............just got up, with a cup of coffee in my hand.............I have no words.............9 points deduction. ..........I am even too scared to ask what happened.

Was at work all day yesterday, honestly still haven't had the time to watch any of the events.

Oh, Boyang, very sorry, it just wasn't your day..................put it behind you. ............

you should watch it. I find it actually quite inspirational. And B.Eurosport was super supportive. German Eurosport too. And he went out of it with a smile :)
