Boyang Jin

Hmmm... I wonder where Brian Orser is. Do you think he's just behind the camera or hasn't shown up to train the guys yet? 2 days isn't a lot of time to choreograph an ice show...

Well, to be exact, Brian's the producer, not the choreographer- Misha is doing that. So Brian is more off-ice/behind the scenes.

Ahhh ok, my bad. It's just that in the promotions I've been seeing, Misha was being marketed as one of the skaters that would be participating, and not necessarily as a choreographer. Pretty amazing that he's pulling double duty though!

There's interesting news coming from the Chinese Skating Association front. Boyang will be going with his coach to Toronto to get choreo from Lori and train with Orser. May be short term but he's still going to train with a foreign coach for a while, and it so happens to be Orser, at TCC. Everybody can now proceed to go crazy.

Going to Orser, I have no complaints. Super happy :yahoo:

It seems the wording was "they are considering it" for now, but since Hongbo said it in an interview, there is 100% something to it.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed and pray together, this would be AMAZING

OMG!
This is such great news!!!
Our Boy Boyang stepping up his game! :cool14: I think this will be great for him!
:dance3:

Fingers crossed for our boy.

Also mentioned in the interview is that he will continue to work with Lori. I really hope she can bring something new to the table this time.

Boyang sure is strong, to be able to push Vincent around on a chair all around the rink! It's wonderful to see all this behind the scenes stuff thanks to twitter and instagram.

Wow, Boyang training at TCC will be great, even if it's short term. I do hope it can be arranged for him to train there regularly. Perhaps there's a bit more for the fed to spend on him for training since he's produced results/medals at this point.

Boyang definitely has been improving every single season, very much looking forward to his new programs for next year!

Here's the article-https://k.sina.cn/article_213815211_0cbe8fab020006n1d.html

Doubt this would be a permanent switch since he and his coaches are really close. Still hopes he will train with Orser for a bit. *Fingers crossed*

Not a surprise. Follows along a certain aspect of Brian Orser's career as a coach. Arguably his "breakthrough" was in championing the heavy favorite, Yuna. The Chinese have clearly 'read the tea leaves' and I hope the expectations are aligned, given the MILLIONS of eyeballs that will be counting on this to be the case for the home country host in 2022.
