Yes! I really enjoyed! Carolane is such a great dancer - I love the sass she brings.

These two really are having growing pains.

Yeah... Well, they certainly seem to be more comfortable than last year. I feel bad for them, they actually tried to be brave and create two pretty original programs last season. Their tango or rather its idea was awesome.

Edit: I have one question though: aren't they supposed to touch between the first and the second set of twizzles? Isn't that the new rule? S/D had a pretty elaborate lift, for instance; and from that vantage point I can't really see Carolane and Shane touching... It looks like they are going for a kiss or something? As far as I remember the rule is they just need to touch, whether it is a high five or something more complicated.

You seem to have forgotten Fournier Beaudry/Sorensen. Or do you think them weaker than Soucisse/Firus? They had a not very successful FD debut at Lombardia Trophy this past weekend (a fall and some lost levels on steps, lifts and spin), but scored very close to Guignard/Fabbri in the RD.

Not to take anything away from Carolane and Shane - I like them - but, realistically, I don't think they are going to pass F-B/S this season, unless they (F-B/S) continue having bad skates with serious mistakes.

What odd scoring in the SD at France GP! I thought their technical elements were good! And I certainly enjoyed the performance! In fact, theirs was my favorite - much more stylized. Don't get the 68 and 7th place!

I agree! As Shane admitted, his fall in Nationals was probably due to an over-attack at the beginning of the FD. They did a great job of pulling it back together and having an otherwise strong FD. If it hadn't been for the fall they would have likely been in the 120's.
