I have more respect for Lesley Hawker now. I'll be rooting for her to do her best in the freeskate tonight.

Cheers to you, Lesley Hawker!
Her story has always been a nice one, and she (almost) always has a mega kilowatt smile! Her skating is not up to the level of top ten in the world, but her personality that shines through on the ice and her perseverance make her one skater I'd watch any day!

I've always loved Lesley's skating. She has to work so hard to get out of skating what she puts into it and all because she loves the sport so much. It just ooozes from her too when she's out there.

She really is an inspiration and a classy lady to boot.

What I really like about Lesley is that she is enjoying success at a relatively late time in her career, and in a world of teenage phenoms who can often come and go, skaters like Lesley who are able to acheive their best results at a relatively advanced age are an inspiration. [Especially for those of us who are old enough to be parents of the current World champions ]

I have to agreed. In a skating world of very young skaters doing triples (who do work hard and do deserve their sucess), its really nice to see sucess with skaters like Lesley who are in the 20's. Personally, with competiting and training with young skaters (I'm 21), this kinds of stories reminds me to keep pushing and work hard, no matter what age I am.
