Compulsory Dance

Perhaps you could post when the reports are up on your site, hopefully Sandra Stevenson is doing the Dance for this event.

Sandra is covering part of the dance. Her CD report should go up in an hour or so.

Pairs SP just finished. Shen and Zhao lead by 3+ points. A nice but not a perfect skate. I&B got the throw triple axel. On the toe, but all the way around.

I didn't think Japan allowed dual citizenship. Wakamatsu didn't want to get her Cdn citizenship for the Olympics last year, because she would have been made to forfeit her Japanese citizenship. I wonder which citizenship the Reeds actually have.

L&M could have had the bronze at Canadian nationals, but a sort of fall on their last lift really cost them. They have really lost momentum since their debut. Chantal used to be a coach, so maybe she'll go back to that.

It's definitely going to be a fun competition between the top 4 teams. Not necessarily D/W and V/M for 1st, but at least for 3rd. B/A and D/L are going to be fun to watch too.

I'm sad V/M weren't as strong and had the edge in the CD, but the OD and the FD are definitely their strongest programs yet. D/W's OD isn't quite as strong. I don't get the feel of a tango from their performance as much as I do V/M. But FD will definitely be head to head if neither make a mistake along the way.

I'm so in love with ice dance. And excited about these up and coming rising stars!

You mean, that V/M had bad edges? And D/W better? Its very funny. All igor studenes have a big problems with CDs. I think , that D/W is very mechanical in therer danes. They did elemets, but i didnt fell any emotions in them (especially in Maryle). Its must be good, if V/M lose at this competition and start thinking about new coach for them, wich will work on them and therer skating - not on politices
