Daria Andreyevna Sadkova (Дарья Андреевна Садкова) was born June 26th 2008 in the town of Yoshkar-Ola (pop. ~250k, by the river Volga, about 600km east of Moscow) the capital of the republic of Marii-El. She began figure skating at the age of four in her home town. She was coached in Yoshkar-Ola by Dmitriy Ivanov and Oksana Nizova. In the fall of 2020 she relocated with her mother to Moscow to train permanently with the famous coaching team "Team Tutberidze", of Eteri Tutberidze, Daniil Gleikhengauz and Sergei Dudakov. She trains in southern Moscow in an ice rink called Khrustalnyi (Хрустальный), or "Crystal". Her father and younger brother stayed behind in Yoshkar-Ola.
Daria or "Dasha" is known to be an expressive and musical skater, with long limbs and great lines, good spins and a very explosive axel jump. As of February 2021 her favorite jumps were double axel and triple loop. Dasha is also a very good dancer, as is visible in the many videos posted by Alexei Zhelezhniakov, a dance instructor working closely with Team Tutberidze. Dasha has been chosen to be part of Russia's Novice National Team. It is unclear whether she will get to represent Russia in the Junior Grand Prix 2021. Age wise she just about qualifies, having been born 5 days before the deadline date.
