Ksenia Gushchina (rus Ксения Андреевна Гущина) is a ladies singles skater who represents Russia. She was born on June 18, 2007 in Perm.

Before the 2022-2023 season she trained in Olga Startseva's group (Perm). In the 2022-2023 season she moved to St. Petersburg and joined Kirill Davydenko's group. She represents the Figure Skating Academy (SShOR).

Ksenia is trained by Aleksandrina Degtyareva (ISU variant of the surname transcription - Degtiareva), the head coach is Kirill Davydenko.

She was participant of national championships in 2022, 2023. She made her debut at RusNat 2022 and placed 15th. She was 14 y.o. at that time.
She was ranked in the top 10 top-10 RusNats, top-7 RusFGPR in 2023. GP(R) stages bronze medalist. Champion of SPb 2023.

Ksenia doesn't have 3A and quads at the moment, but performs her content consistently enough to place high at competitions. In St. Petersburg she works a lot on choreography with the help of both group choreographers and guest dance choreographers.

Ksenia is an example of a Russian junior from the provinces, who thanks to her efforts is making her way to the top of Russian women's singles skating.

I think Ksusha is worthy of her own fan topic
I know she would hardly get an invitation to a Grand Prix stage or some international competition if things were going the way they should go, but what the hell, if there's any good in this situation, it's a chance to get attention for Russian girls like Ksyusha Anyway, getting top 10 in the women's category on RusNat is a serious achievement.
I hope that Ksyusha will continue to develop further and will not give up the positions she has gained.

Chief judge of the control skates of the St. Petersburg team Igor Bich:

Ksenia Gushchina was unable to perform to her full potential due to injury. But even without performing complex elements and jumps we saw very interesting performances. Kirill Davydenko's team did a very good job. I'm sure that when Ksenia recovers, she will show what she is capable of.

Ksenia's injury, according to her coaches, is more serious than I thought, but she is recovering and getting on the ice.... If she is in more or less tolerable shape, we might see her in Samara and Moscow. In the meantime, let's wish Ksyusha health and a speedy recovery.

That's what her official fan group said, but they don't have absolute certainty. The main thing now is for Ksenia to gain sufficient form, then she will go to the stages.

The coaches won't say what kind of injury, they don't like to talk about injuries in this team, they usually tell us after the fact.
