Did you see Mirai on the Today Show?

Mirai was obviously bothered by the small size of the rink. She crashed into the boards near the beginning, trying to stop or turn at the last minute, and almost did the same thing again a little later. She cut her spiral short because she ran out of space. She did a single Axel that was probably supposed to be a double.

Plus, she looked really cold in her dress. I think skaters should have outdoor outfits to skate in, including long pants, when they do these outdoor exhibitions.

Meredith asked her about the Olympics, and Mirai said that she hoped she would get a chance to go, "as a spectator if not as a skater."

Come on, girl! I know you want to be modest, but you're the U.S. CHAMPION! You're MIRAI NAGASU! Let the other girls worry about whether they will make the team or not!

She's so new to the whole thing that she doesn't know how to work it like the veterans... not good for the average Joe watching, but understandable....



I so miss Katie during the skating bits, she actually gave a rip about the sport and whenever Scott was on there was a lot of fun flirty moments...

We saw Mirai on the Today show, poor thing hit the boards hard. That rink is dink. Its sooo funny that noone believes me when I tell them how small it is, cause "it looks soo big on tv". Trust me its small. Anyway the mishap with the boards aside, she was beautiful as always.
