Do you ever have dreams about skaters?

Two new ones today!

1. I was watching Madeline Aaron & Max Settlage skate and she kept forgetting the choreography to their free skate.

2. Tarah Kayne & Danny O'Shea were the king and queen of a fictional kingdom that looked kind of like my hometown. They seemed very in love and all was well except that Aliya Mustafina, the ruler of a nearby rival kingdom, repeatedly tried to make Danny fall in love with her. This eventually made him so mad that he created a vortex to another dimension that a random person got stuck in. To free her, the Monarchs had to race towards a finish line and set off fireworks, while fighting off the rival kingdom's henchmen with nothing but manicure supplies. (Don't ask.) Tarah and Danny won, with the help of a squirrel logo on a billboard that randomly became a very snarky sentient being. To celebrate, they went out to an Indian restaurant that actually exists in my city with some people from my real life, where all the real-life people would do was talk about how they once took a group of teenage boys to a Renissance Faire/buffet with unlimited spending money and they wreaked havoc.

This made me laugh out loud for real :laugh2: Have you been watching a lot of Once upon a Time lately?

No-I've never watched that show in my life! :laugh2:

Another detail I forgot to include: one of Queen Aliya's henchman was the person who I get skating dresses from. No idea where that came from.

(Note for all who might've been confused by the Aliya Mustafina reference: she's a Russian artistic gymnast.)

This was a random one: I was reading a magazine article about a summer camp for talented novice-and-below skaters from around the world, run by notable seniors. All I remember from it was that one "cabin" (group of skaters assigned to one counselor) had only skaters with skating related America's Got Talent-type acts, 90% of the actual skaters were Russian, and I was looking for Alysa Liu. (How such an obscure skater managed to get in a dream is beyond me, lol. :p)

Early this morning I had a dream that I met Kevin Reynolds. I was SO mad when I woke up and realized it was only a dream.

And this might be dream #13 of mine that had Kevin in it.

I had this very strange dream that Gracie Gold was on the Food Network.

(Why do I dream about Gracie so much?)

New one: I was checking GS and came across some new posts in the injuries thread. A bunch of people were saying that Alex Shibutani was injured and still others were starting "secret baby" rumors about someone (don't remember who). Dream-me repeatedly told itself to get up and check the forum to see if it was real. (Breaking the fourth wall, I suppose.)

Lucid dreaming?

Lol. Last night I had a dream that I was in a national junior competition for skating for Canada (I'm American though) and I somehow got bronze though I didn't do any hard jumps.....like only singles and doubles....

I just had a dream so realistic it wasn't funny. I was at a practice session of Deniss Vasiljevs (and of course to see his coach as well). Then the coach Urmanov, who was on the ice, decided to come straight towards me. Then he said, "I remember you." half teasingly, half accusingly :eekn::eek::eeking: I have been wanting to go to see them in some competitions in the near future. I was such a pest when I went to see Lyosha more than 20years ago, and I was vaguely worried he might go "OMFG she AGAIN!!!" The effect after that moment was, sort of a camera wildly shaking and going blurred out when it encountered a sudden, unexpected accident, it just went blank. My heart was still pounding when I woke up!

The other night:

Max was knitting. Meanwhile, I was winning the solo pattern dance competition.

I'm yet to decide if the more illogical part of the dream was Max knitting or me even doing ice dance, let alone winning it....

:yay: I can't decide which part I like better :).

I have had knitters (male and female) in my family, and I am impressed by anyone who (unlike me) can knit.
The idea of knitting as a form of creativity and relaxation for Max makes me very happy.
[Not sure whether it would be a good idea to tell him that speed knitting exists as a competitive thing ;).]

The thought of karne winning a gold medal is cool  too (altho' I don't know a thing :hopelessness: about solo ice dance).

Yay for knitting!!!!

This isn't directly skating-related, but I dreamt that the USFS Fan Bloggers were announced and Invisiblespiral got one of the spots. (I also remember the website saying she was 13, which I'm 93% sure is false.) That would not surprise me at all in real life.

(Also in this dream, I didn't get in and handled it quite immaturely: I ran off to hide in a Home Depot and went to rather extreme measures to hide from all the employees, some of whom were people I knew. Worth noting: none of the people in the dream actually work at Home Depot in real life. I'd like to think I'm a better loser than THAT :laugh2:)

I had this weird dream that Elena Radionova and Evgenia Medvedeva worked in this giant pet shop (which was also a restaurant, the owner of which did not know what a French fry was) whose owner/main employees turned out to be evil. They were locking all the dogs in rooms in the back and Evgenia and Elena were locked back there to watch them. The owner then fed Evgenia's beloved chihuahua meat poisoned with something that made it go blind, for no apparent reason. Then one of the employees, who had been locked in a vault in the very back (this store was insanely huge), found some kind of secret passageway ending in an elevator that went to a series of secret rooms, all on different floors. The only person who knew about them was a random guy who was trying to stop the evil pet shop by...well, I don't know what, but he had about fifteen secret rooms to do it in. Somehow Elena and Evgenia knew about it and were both trying to find the elevator, but they couldn't sneak around with the owner there. Eventually, Evgenia ended up finding an elevator outside that took her to a secret passageway in a mine shaft (in the middle of the mall...), where she met the dude. The dream ended with the owner being publicly shamed by the girls for not knowing what French fries were.

(This also included a gymnastics cameo: Aly Raisman doing a bars routine on tension rods in a closet at the store. Don't ask.)

And I had another dream the same night that I was watching Gabby Douglas on beam in some kind of theater with couches in it.

It was a weird night for dreams and I'm 97% that made sense to absolutely nobody.

Ugh I had a nightmare last night where I was watching a Facebook live video where Jason Brown told everybody that he was injured again and had decided to retire for good :(
