Do you ever have dreams about skaters?

Elena Ilinykh and Ruslan Zhiganshin getting married... along with a bunch of other people who I don't remember. And something about North Korea.

I dreamed this morning, that Yuzuru and Fernandez skated together, in pairs, they wore black training outfits but it got hot between them and they deleted videos on YouTube, so, no evidence :palmf: :slink:

My latest dream had Gracie Gold winning the Japan Open. Considering that every dream I had about her last year either had her bombing or wasn't about skating, that's an odd change.

Yet another Gracie dream last night. (I think I might have a problem.) In this one, she was 11th in the Short Program at SA.

(Since that JO dream went exactly the opposite in real life, maybe this one will, too? :slink:)

Finally had another dream with Kevin Reynolds in it (I blame a DM I got from last night and knowing Skate Canada isn't too far away)! In it, well okay I was in the dream and it started off like that episode of Spongebob Sqaurepants where Squidward moves to a gated-like community of only squids like him. And we ended up in a class that was near the water. Also in the dream was Lars Eller of the Washington Capitals. Also a woman similar to one who works for the academics for student athletes was in my dream. I think it's dude to the fact that yesterday in real life, me and my cheer team had a meeting with that person. But yeah, in one part of the dream Kevin was "absent from class."

My dream this morning: i was watching the GPF, Yuzuru skated ALMOST clean, but i missed everyone else and then it was over and i couldn't see the end results :drama:

I'm so glad that this thread exists, and I'm thrilled to know that I'm not alone  Last night I dreamed that Gracie was 5th in the SP in Helsinki, but somehow dropped to 50th place in the Free. I woke up genuinely upset.

An odd one last night: Kori and Rohene were judging a jump contest of some kind. First they both took off from a massive ski jump ramp, then settled in. For some reason the first skater to go off the ski jump was Jordan Moeller. Then a warpy wormhole thing appeared and sucked him into it, because it wanted to steal his power. Then Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter were trying to destroy it, and I was telling them not to because Jordan was trapped inside it, and then I woke up and said, "what the heck, brain?"

I know this is a very old post (how did I just come across it?), but I think you know what I'm going to say...

...you should write this!

Another bizarre one.

I dreamed that I overslept and missed Max's short program at CoR. (I often have dreams like this about comps that are at odd times for me.) So I was desperately trying to find the results, to see how he did, and I couldn't find them because everyone was rabbiting on about another skater and only that skater (a genuine frustration I have with some practice threads). Then I was trying to change the channel from the cricket so I could watch it, but suddenly I was at work and I had to do this task in order to watch it, and then I woke up and grabbed panicked for my phone thinking I'd slept through the men's short.

(I hadn't. The men's short starts at midnight tonight my time.)

I had such a bizarre dream last night.

In 2016, there was a sudden investigation if Sotnikova had really deserved to win the gold at Sochi. It meant that every female competitors had to gather again in Sochi to wait for the official results. Then it was announced there that the 2014 Olympic Champion is Sotnikova, and she was the only who was allowed to leave the ice rink. It was also decided that all the other skaters' previous results of the Sochi Olympic Games were cancelled.:scard7: So first, they had to skate a compulsory round at speed skating, and the first 10 ones reached the final, that meant that they had the possibility to perform their long programs.
But the results of the speed skating round counted as a part of the result of the short program.

Yuna was also there, she got back on the rink after more than 2,5 years. She only got 4th place (not that she was ever slow :dance3:) at speed skating, and she couldn't make a perfect SP so she stayed at 4th place. At the end, she made mistakes in her LP as well so she finished the competition at 5th place. The others on the podium were 2nd Kostner and 3rd Courtney Hicks (I don't know what she was doing there, maybe she was a replace of Gracie or Ashley:reye:). So it meant that Yuna had to give her silver medal to Kostner and Kostner gave Hicks her bronze.

No one had right to appeal and everyone accepted the results

So it turned out that Yuna didn't finish her career with an "all-podium" record.

How bizarre it was. Thank God I woke up and I was happy that Yuna still got her silver and Kostner her bronze :hap93::hap10::yes2:

Another one about Ashley Wagner: she was carrying on a parallel career as a soprano, and playing Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte.
Last night I dreamed of chatting with Eva Fehr about Sarah Meier's final competition in Bern.

I had a strange dream last night.

I dreamt that I had gone into Golden Skate and noticed that a new member was being particularly active in the threads I had been visiting. And as soon as I saw the name ("Fan Of CocoStarz"), I realised "Oh my goodness. That's Anna Ovcharova!"

So, I wrote to Anna to check if it was her, and to apologise for not being in contact for ages. And she wrote back confirming that it was her. And she also said that she got the idea of including the word "fan" in her username from seeing my username.

I then wrote back to her asking if she wanted me to transfer ownership of her Fan Fest over to her (even though it's not the case in real life, I had the power to do that in my dream because I was the current owner of the thread).

Then I woke up. So I don't know if she accepted my offer.

I have no idea where that dream came out of. Like, I'm not as close to Anna as I used to be (apart from sending a comment on her birthday, I haven't been in contact with her for about a year). And it has been a while since I last looked up her profiles to see what she has been up to.

Although, a few days ago the Fan Art that I made for her Senior GP debut did pop up on the "On This Day" feature on Facebook. So, maybe the dream was a delayed reaction to that.

And I have no idea who or what "Coco Starz" is, or why I associated the name with Anna!

For some reason, "Coco Starz" makes me think of breakfast cereal...

Hey, for all I know, I may have had a premonition about a very young skater who is just starting out, but is going to take the world by storm in the future!

Coco Starz - remember that name! You heard it here first! :agree:

Am I up to 20 dreams in my life now that include Kevin Reynolds? Because I had another dream last night where I saw him and tried to get a good selfie with him in it, but it didn't turn out well. And I kept trying to get it good. There was one part that made me feel good...PG-rated. Like what happened was PG.

Last night I had....yup you got it....another dream with Kevin Reynolds.....I GOT to be in the 20's in the amount of dreams. In that dream I met him and got his autograph and I was at 8 Rinks in the dream......

I had the most weird-as* dream ever :roll9:

In the middle of summer I was at an outdoor skating event at a Tuscan villa (where else, right?). Half of the skaters were top-level athletes (and I mean top, as in the top 10 in the world) and the other half were just kids from the village who had nothing better to do than go to a skating camp for a week. They all didn't really have programs, they just went out on the ice, did stuff, and then walked into the audience and grabbed a drink from some random table.

The pro skaters just flubbed everything they did, like only doing single loop hops and spins with no more than two revolutions. And the "I only learned a week ago what skates even are" kids imitated moves from competitive programs with 'special technique', like where they did some pairs lifts and she would just grab his hair with both hands while he held her over his head by the throat :roll9: (that did not look healthy at all)

And did I mention the cyborgs yet? Yeah, because there were robot-aliens who could pose as humans, but they all had to wear giant purple fur coats, because while they had no problem to imitate faces, they totally sucked at pretending to have human bodies. But the cyborgs hadn't just come to enjoy the show but there were actually two factions that in the end started to fight and kill each other. It was like Transformers on Ice.

Just one question.... who mixed the LSD in my tea last night?

I have a cold. :(

I also had a dream where someone made a post on GS debating Zhou vs. Hiwatashi for junior worlds, along with a list of a bunch of other men... and the post said that Zhou was 7th at senior nationals and they both got 11 points on the JGP? :slink:

I have had a dream about skating just once.. I was trying to keep Higuchi Wakaba calm the day before NHK-trophy ladies SP:) I was such a fluent Japanese speaker 😍😍

Max and Jason were sitting in a bean-bag watching a movie last night while I was running around trying to help save Apollo 16.

I don't have enough question marks to describe my thoughts when I woke up.
