Dream Programs

Great piece, but to me that's more a Javi-thing. Brian Orser used it as his SP in 1987/88 and it was marvellous! :hap10: Brian has young Stephen Gogolev skating to it at the mo. Somebody used it this season, can't remember who.

Hanyu has skated to Sing Sing Sing before as a novice.

I want Yulia to skate to the soundtrack of the movie legends of the fall "the ludlows"..It would suit her because yulia is so good in putting emotions to the music..

Thanks for that, I didn't know, just can't imagine him using it now, but Javi straight away. Never mind, I'm sure it was great. Maybe I find it somewhere.

I would like to see someone take on the Duetto Buffo Di Due Gatti: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7boSJxKAkg

By far the weirdest piece of classical music I've ever heard. Every time I show it to someone, their reaction is something like "this has got to be a joke" or "I can't believe this actually exists" so imagine the reaction you'd get to the nutty goodness of a program to it! :dance3:

Maybe Alisa Fedichkina, as she is obviously well-suited to cat-themed programs. :p

There is a program that Stephane Lambiel don't want you to know :dev3:

Please, no more Sing Sing Sing programs. It's horribly overused & in my mind, more suited to juniors. Javi is way too good for that.

Completely true. In fact, I was sick of it by the time Brian O. used it and that was almost 30 years ago. Enough already. There plenty of songs that sound similar and have the same style. How about "I've Got Rhythm" there are several versions with and without vocals and have basically the same feel as Sing Sing Sing.

I believe it was Yan Han's short this season.

I know Les Miserables has been used multiple times, but I really think it would be awesome for Yevgenia Medvedeva. She looks like she could play Fantine or especially Eponine. I'm thinking On My Own and the finale version of Do You Hear The People Sing, since they go into each other really well.

I would also love to see either Julia Lipnitskaya or Satoko...(Crap, I can't think of her last name - she's the little Japanese skater who went to Worlds this year and has to be the most adorable skater ever) to use music from "The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. Or even Gracie Gold. But whoever it is should use a dress costumed to look like the jumper and blouse of a British school girl's uniform.

I don't have any particular skaters in mind, but I would like to see some more alternative music done. How about....

"Breathe Me" by Sia
"Madness" by Muse
"Merry Happy" by Kate Nash
"Clown" by Emeli Sande
"Now I'm All Messed Up" by Tegan and Sara
"I Loved You" by Alice Russell
"Send Me Down" by HAIM
"Down the Road" by C2C
"I Feel it All" by Feist
"Waiting Game" by Banks
"Retrograde" by James Blake
"Pay Dearly" by Johnnyswim

I could literally go on for days. Since modern music is probably asking a lot, some theatre music beyond Les Miserables and Phantom would also be nice. Look at how great Ashley's Moulin Rogue program was (not technical a theatre piece, but close enough).

I wish not....because they would look so desperate with the music given the circumstance. As long as Liza is not in the gathering, I don't care about the rest.

Well, personally I would think it was fun - and defiant.:)

Her first dress in lavender color for the Titanic reminds me of that costume drama. If she chooses the music, she can transform herself to Elizabeth Bennet pretty well.

Yes, the music is light & bubbly and I think would really suit her. And I think she's far more of a Lizzie Bennet than Rose whatsherface anyway. I don't see her needing Leo to talk her out of jumping off a boat - and I think she'd be able to go toe to toe with any Mr Darcy.:)
