Dream Programs

I would love this idea too. Misha is scheduled to choreograph her, I think he is a perfect person to bring out and expand her artistic side!

I have a few certain ideas too.. like

Shoma - "Last Train to Lhasa" by Banco de Gaia for SP, Rigoletto by Verdi for LP.

Deniss - "Never Ending Story" for SP, Mozart ensemble (featuring Klein Nachtmusik, Turkish march, Marriage of Figaro etc.) for FS. I wouldn't mind him keeping Puttin' on the Ritz which is a cracker, also I would like the idea of him skating to "Princess of Circus" by Kalman, to which his coach skated :-)

Javi - Fuoco nel fuoco by Eros Ramazzotti for SP (this would be good for Ivan Righini, too) 2-Cellos ensemble (featuring Smooth Criminal, Wake Me Up, Thunderstruck etc.)

Katchaturian's Spartacus for Zhenya
Barcelona Night by Ottmar Liebert for Pogo (thought this would be good for Javi too, but perhaps he needs to get away from the Spanish theme for the next season)
Enter Sandman by Metallica for Yuzu (I want him to take on something totally different for a challenge!)

Love love the idea of Ottmar Liebert for Javi...

Surrender 2 Love

Would be a beautiful EX for Javi & Miki... I know it will never happen but the program is in my head.. Can't deny it!!

I would love to see a cheesefest competition where the skater has to skate program from the past minus the errors Ie have Radinova skate to Baiul's show tune medley, Wagner skate to Witt's Carmen; Max Aaron could skate to one of Scott Hamilton's programs, Hanyu could skate to a Lambiel number, Chan could skate to Yagudin's winter or the Mask, Javier could skate to say the Godfather by Plushenko or Candelero, Julia could do Kwan's Red Violin, Brown could do a Buttle program, maybe some unexpected programs like Dennis Ten skating to a Stoijko Bruce Lee story or Boiyang skating to Victor Petrenko's Carmen or imagine M and D's dreams of love done by say V and T, Torvill and Dean's Bolero done by P and C; Virtue and Moir doing Klimova and Pomanrenko's 1992 OGM performance involving statues. Medveda could do Maria B's (aka Mrs Rice's) Otonal and ET (Liza) could do one of Midori Ito's joyful programs. So many fun possibities

I was thinking of someone to skate to different versions of the theme song for "Noel's House Party."

I'm looking at TV show theme songs for ideas cause those songs are usually pretty creative.

Time After Time ..... Cindi Lauper
Film montage from 'Strictly Ballroom' - Baz Luhrmann's satire and first movie in his Red Curtain trilogy (Moulin Rouge was the last)...
Wonder if this has been used before... It would make a wonderful ice dance program... Thought Orford & Hill would be perfect but they've retired.. :(

I'd love to watch Yuna skating to Sadko-Song of India.
It would be so mesmerizing. I can picture a very soothing and meditating program with sprinkles of mystery and seduction, but not too exotic. Kind of like a hybrid between her Scheherazade and Meditation of Thais.:luv17:

I would LOVE for a pairs team to skate to "Scotty Doesn't Know" by Lustra.

Also, who would be able to skate to "Everything I Do (I Do it for You)" by Bryan Adams?

I figured this would be the best place to get some help with a writing project. I need to find music for two fictional ice dance teams-a SD for one and an FD for the other-but I am having a hard time finding stuff that works. So, does anyone know of pieces of music that would work for for teams described as follows?

Team 1: 17-year-old twins (juniors) who are known for their excellent lifts and twizzles but aren't particularly strong with basics (they lack speed and depth of edge). Their interpretative style leans towards avant-garde and they will try anything-for comparison, they will definitely be doing hip hop in the short (if it's allowed, possibly a bit of dubstep ). They need an FD.

And a short dance for this team?

Team 2: Juniors, 17 and 19, known for their edgework and SS. The girl is ridiculously expressive, sometimes to the point of being melodramatic; the guy's performance quality/expression is frequently compared to inanimate objects. Not particularly strong in the acrobatic elements. They are doing blues and swing for their SD but I can't find music (to give you an idea of the kind of programs they do, FD is "Hymne L'Amour").

If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it a lot. :)

Thought I'd give this a try...
Team 1: I assume the FD will NOT be hip-hop. The two options are OSTs, both lyrical, which would highlight the team's skills...

Team 2: SD Blues/Swing.... Two posted here... One older, one modern...

This was fun!!:agree:

Thank you so much! If I listen to these and decide to use them, I will credit you (if I ever finish the book )!

Edit: I love both of the ones you suggested for the first team! I prefer the Luzhin Defence Suite; the other is lovely but using music from what appears to be a rom-com for a sibling team freaks me out a little bit. I really like the jazzy piece you suggested for the second team, as well. :)

I would really like someone to skate to "Across the stars".
Since the Worlds are in Finland, maybe someone could skate to "Shy" by Sonata Arctica (piano version).

Yes, the Strictly Ballroom soundtrack has been used before. More than once, though at the moment all I can remember is that I just heard it recently--within the last three weeks--on the JGP. Probably in dance, since that is what I have been watching the most closely.
