Did you figure out how it works? it's not that hard after you get over being stunned it works at all! (Mathman, how long does it take you to figure this one out?)

No I didn't but I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that there are a multiple numbers that have the same symbol.

It's not too difficult. By following these rules, the only answers you can get are multiples of 9. They are 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72 and 81. If you check, these numbers all have the same symbol. And that symbol changes every time.

No fun when the mystery is removed.
