I don't think it has anything to do with it. Zueva is in USA, therefore Yulia went there. As for Mishin I don't know why he went there, but he's working with Lambiel for Liza's choreo.

I doubt they are training here for any political reasons relating to worlds. Most of the ones coming here, Mishin's group, Mozer's group, Rukavitsin's group have been doing it for a few seasons now. Mishin typically conducts seminars abroad during the summer and has done it in other rinks in the US such as the one in Virginia. Mozer's group gets choreography from Morozov and even when he was based in Russia, he'd spend summers in Hackensack and he'd have the skaters with him. Rukavitsin is friends with the Makarovs (remember, he coached Ksenia for a bit) and he did a training camp at the rink where Oleg and Larisa coach.
Small world, hadn't really noticed the goings on.

Well, not that short. Isn't there an altitude thing in Colorado or something like that. I remember Yagudin once feeling bad. It was a GP, If I'm not mistaken.

CO is awesome for altitude training. Probably the best, I hope I/Z come to the States. I would go wherever they were...

I usually go to Colorado at least once a year and let me tell you...yes. My first trip to Denver many years back was when I first felt it. Doing exercise at higher altitude leaves you short breath as all heck. I've since changed my preparation and now do long runs in the month or so leading up to my trips.
Denver is around 5,000 feet above sea level (hence "mile high city") but if you go up and into the front range which I do every time and stay, you'll find yourself staying in places right around 8,000-9,000 ft. and some peaks if you hike them or ski them go over 14,000 ft!! It's a real shock and takes a few days to acclimate to. I found myself out of breath just carrying luggage in and going up flights of stairs. It's much better now because I'm mentally and usually physically prepared for it. (Except that alcohol always has double effect on me there
)Anyway....back to topic. I agree training in this environment is very beneficial and of course I want to see them here in the states. Would be a good start but mixing in some training time here would be great too

No news about the SD?
They haven't started yet with the SD. After the holidays.

How long does their vacation last?
I believe they'll get back towards the end of May, and then off to Latvia at the beginning of June. So I assume they'll get their SD then. Since Najarro has been leaving comments on Elena's instagram that he'll see her soon, I assume he'll also be there to tweak the FD.
Not sure, but it looks as though they're using a similar schedule to the one they had last season. So I can imagine that the vacation should end around next Monday (May 25th) and they should begin camp/arduous training June 1, or thereabouts.

Yay! Because we are getting closer to skating season again
True, I'm excited to see how they build upon what they accomplished last season. At WTT they did not look like a new team. So I'm hopeful they will build on that.
