I know. Nothing new, it happens more or less everywhere but I'm really surprised with Komatsubara&Fabbri levels, while having 4 and 5 for SS. 3.50 TR. Ouch!

Anyway, Hanca said something very true about ID while commenting on Stavitskaya&Shibnev. It cleary shows that ice dance is not just freeskating without the jumps, ​as some think.

Anyone wonders about their costumes? Will Elena wear something like a jean dress in the SD?

Well yes, and more covered, obviously.:biggrin: These are small details but I love the idea. The cut and the colours used. Her Carmen dress was spot on although it was long. Elena is not tall but the problem with the FD dresses from last season was too much fabric and the cut in the waist, not the length.

I`m thinking what she is going to do with her hair. At the test skates she had a bun, but I think a low side ponytail could also work for Frida. Ruslan, though needs some gel or something, his hair was covering constantly his face duing the FD. I wonder how he was even able to see anything :laugh:

I liked the roses in the FD. The test skate hair style is perfect. Ruslan I agree, maybe put his hair up.

I love the "total metallic silver." A really interesting, beautiful and original dress, with a definite air of vitality about it. Makes me think of waterfalls.

This, I'm afraid, doesn't really appeal to me. The head looks like Queen-Victoria-is-getting-married, the top like an Amazonian warrior queen, and I don't even wish to say what I thought about the skirt.

But I agree with you all that Elena looked fantastic with the flowers at the test skates and Ruslan with his hair back last year.

I liked his hair at the test skate as well, and he could actually see, which was quite magical by itself;)
The flowers were great, but maybe she will go for simple dress and flowers, or simple hair and more detailed dress.I have no doubt they have two alternatives or even more to choose from.

I love metallic silver option.They looked good even in those black training outfits for the SD.

No, I was referring to the dress only, not the head. That picture is taken from D&G Milan show. I'm not saying they have to make a copy of that. :biggrin: I like the cut and the style. The upper body could be a different colour and slightly different. I like a rainbow upper body idea like this for example. Obviously the skirt should be a different fabric. Not tulle which is transparent. Also, she could go for a one piece cut but with colours. After all, she will have more than one costume I think. It also depends from the hair style. I have no idea what Ruslan should wear though. :think:

A part from the fact that we're just "playing" with ideas for our own pleasure here - I don't think she's checking this topic for our suggestions - but define "simple and stylish", please. Simple black, pastel, grey, peach, green, red? I like red and it's great on her but she used that for Carmen and I think Frida needs colours, even if the cut is simple.
 
I think the choreo should be the highlight. Costumes, simple, elegant and chic so as not to take away from the dance.

On the contrary it does enhance the dance. I don't want an OTT costume, but "chic" for Frida?
