With Nebelhorn so close and the JGP starting, Shpilband maybe couldn`t travel with them to Sochi.

I really feel like this style of dance suits them! I'm not the most technical person around here so someone else will probably come along shortly with more coherent thoughts, but I'm really hoping this helps them break free of the Russian pack this season. The lift looked lovely (how cute was the applause?) and they both seem to be getting into the music and the tone. Can't wait for more news and videos this weekend!

The wrap he is wearing seems to be for the lift since Elena's blades rest on Ruslan's abdomen. I LOVE the beginning of this SD; blues is a great style and musical genre for them.

They look really good. It doesn't even look like a program; looks like instead a gala piece but you know it has the difficulty. Really loving the stroking, they just have the feel of the blues in their feet. Looking forward to the rest!!

That looks hot. I like what I saw. I need more. Is it me or Ruslan looks good and has more expressive arm movements that I remember. The exit of the lift is great and on point.

Me too. I`m a little bit meh about them choosing Sing,Sing,Sing. It`s very overused and Bobrova/Soloviev are also using it, but Elena and Ruslan showed with Carmen that they can take an overused piece and give it a fresh look. Besides, I`m excited that they took Swing, I think it`s going to be a great style for them.
