Elena Ilinykh & Ruslan Zhiganshin

After watching the Challengers these last weeks, i`m waiting IMPATIENTLY for I/Z`s Bollywood program. I had hopes that after last season, the top teams would change it up a little bit, especially since it`s not an Olympic season. Instead we see one safe program after the other. Concerning music choices, Elena and Ruslan seem to be again the only team to have taken any risk this season, at least for the Free Dance, but I`m hopeful that they will bring some spice and style into Ice Dance. I don`t know how many more generic dances I can stomach, tbh.

IZ's ISU bio has been updated. Apparently their FD is a Tango now? Also, Shpilband isn't mentioned in their coaching list. Were there any rumors that they changed their FD? I thought the specialists liked their Bollywood program...

The ISU bio updated, but it says Tango Selection by Piazzolla for the FD - that must be a mistake, right? It sounded like everyone was good with Bollywood at the test skates, and why would they change to the same thing that two other Russian teams are doing already?

Oops - posted at the same time as Marta! Seriously, I'd been shocked if this is legit. More likely that whoever enters data at the ISU mixed them up with another team. Blues/Swing & Piazzolla is exactly what S/K are doing.

I think the ISU made a mistake. With 2 other Russian teams doing tangos, I doubt they would do one. Why be boring when you can be fun:)

There's a mistake on ISU site, IZ's dances are the same as they were announced a month ago on the official instagram.

There seems to be something wrong with their ISU bio, so the info is probably not 100% accurate. When Igor was at Nebelhorn it was reported on the Russian forums that someone talked to him and he stated that he still wants to work with them.

During the test skate they also said they have to talk with Igor about their stay in Moscow, but if they are not in USA already and he hasn't worked with them after the test skates maybe he is no longer their coach or at least not currently or at least not their main coach. Of course they can have long distance (skype) arrangements but the question is are they in USA or not?

According to Skoptcova's ask they are still in Moscow, but if they are really leaving Igor I would accept of the Fed to announce that since they officially switched to Igor back in May.

I'm at the point where I just want to see them skate again. I don't care about coaching or politiks, I just want to see them skate. So, regardless what is going to happen with their scores this weekend, I'm just happy to have them back.

so what's the chances of them beating H/D??
Not many predicting it in the SA thread but I for some reason belive they can despite it being held in NA
