Interview with Inna Goncharenko: "You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make her drink"

http://www.fsrussia.ru/intervyu/224...poyu-no-zastavit-ee-napitsya-nevozmozhno.html

An excerpt:
Inna Goncharenko’s group’s training camp has ended in Novogorsk last week.
.....

When you work with someone since their childhood, as I did with Lena Radionova, everything is different. We can understand each other without words; we can forgive and accept everything, and all that. We have our established relationship. Naturally, when there was a question about Sergei and Maxim, I asked Lena, because Lena is Lena. She had nothing against it. It is even more interesting when there are other senior skaters in the group, because it completely changes the training process. And the relationship dynamics in the group have changed. Boys are boys, they treat Lena like a lady, support her, joke to relieve the stress. Recently, there was a scene in practice: Lena was on the verge of tears because something didn’t work, then Maxim skated to her and began talking to her. And she says: "Max, why don’t you let me cry! I just wanted to." I looked at them again moments later, they were already laughing.

Here's the link to the FSU thread that Seruleane mentioned:

This part TOTALLY made me
I can say that Lena’s short program will stay as is. (We) like it, it is, as (the choreographer) Elena Stanislavovna Maslennikova says, delicious, and it is a new image for Lena. She skates it with great pleasure. The program is already popular with local hockey players. They sometimes come to watch our practices and always applaud with their sticks after Lena finishes her program.

As much as I hope that Lena's SP is totally "delicious," I have a feeling that the hockey players are not really coming to watch the program, but rather our beautiful Lena herself!

I was pleasantly surprised to read Max and Lena are getting along so well. Max has always seemed like kind of an annoying/teasing older brother type (whereas Sergei was the doting older brother), but it sounds like they're both very sweet to her. Hopefully the positive atmosphere will remain even when the season starts up and things get more intense!

I am super curious about what's going on with Lena's LP now. I can't even tell if it has been choreographed! I hope this doesn't mean that Morozov is doing it, or that--even worse--she is keeping Titanic!! :slink:

:roll9::noshake: No, don't say that!! I think she and her team know the program was not the most well-received of her programs. I am hoping maybe Averbukh will choreograph her FS, but then I feel Inna would say so in her interview.

As much as I love reading all this stuff, it just makes me want to see her programs more - I feel so impatient

Ok I am intrigued. Lena is in LA. Makes me wonder could she possible be putting together a long program there?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT??!!!!!!!!!! :eekn:

OK, I was SOOO not expecting this!!!! I saw that Vasilisa Davankova was at CSKA, so I assumed that could ONLY mean that Morozov is there with her (probably to choreograph Lena's LP), but I was wrong!!

So who could Lena be working with there? I definitely think that's the reason why she's in Cali, and why Inna didn't say anything about Lena's LP in her interview. I bet it hasn't been choreographed yet.

I know Anna did her SP with Misha there, but it seems that Misha is in China...? OMG, I'm SO curious, I can't take it!! :drama:

Taking a step back, though, I am very pleased to see that Lena seems to have a ton of money this season--trips to Canada and California, plus Minnesota (but I bet Riedell sponsored that part). Last year she didn't have money to work with overseas choreographers, but now she does, so I think that's a very good sign!

So it seems that Lena's back home now, as she was spotted on a flight from LA to Moscow this morning...

I guess she was just in LA for vacation then? And not to do choreography...?

Well, it looks like Lena had fun, but now I'm SUPER curious about who is choreographing her LP!!! :drama:

I know, the suspense is killing me :drama: Why are my favorite skaters always the last to reveal anything about their programs?
